The Associated Press reported in 2025 that Sheriff Kevin McMahill called generative AI a “game-changer” and said: “This is the first incident that I’m aware of on U.S. soil where ChatGPT is utilized to help an individual build a particular device.”
The AI evidence should be described carefully. Was the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion connected to the New Orleans attack?
