The SR SUNTOUR Swing Shock 700 is a city-use suspension fork with 30 mm of travel, according to the manufacturer. Whether it fits a particular commuter bike is a separate question: its product page does not identify compatible complete bicycles, so check the frame, wheel, axle and brake specifications before buying.
What the Swing Shock 700 is
SR SUNTOUR categorizes the Swing Shock 700 for City use. Its published specification describes a coil spring on the left side with a preload adjuster; the right side is listed as “N/A.” The page does not establish a specific comfort or handling benefit, and these specifications are not independent ride-test results.
SR SUNTOUR’s product page lists 30 mm of travel and a starting weight of 1,395 g (SR SUNTOUR, accessed 2026). The page does not show a publication year, and “starting weight” should not be treated as the weight of every configuration.
SR SUNTOUR’s published specifications
| Specification | Manufacturer listing |
|---|---|
| Intended use | City |
| Travel | 30 mm — SR SUNTOUR, accessed 2026 |
| Spring and adjustment | Left side: coil with preload adjuster; right side: N/A |
| Crown/steerer material | AC4C |
| Lower case | Magnesium |
| Brake mount | “Int´l or Pivot” |
| Steerer options | 1 1/8-inch aluminum alloy or 1 1/8-inch steel |
| Starting weight | 1,395 g — SR SUNTOUR, accessed 2026 |
| Optional axle | 9 mm |
These details are from the SR SUNTOUR Swing Shock 700 product page. In particular, verify which brake-mount and steerer configuration applies to the specific fork; the page’s listing alone does not confirm that a given version matches your bicycle.

- Product information: Seatpost spring, bike guard, eliminates bumps on cycle paths and city streets.
- Seatpost spring function: very smooth ride on rough roads and less fatigue. And this spring is strong enough to hold more than 200 lbs.
- COMPATIBILITY: The Universal Seatpost Spring is compatible with all SR Suntour NCX seatposts, fits all post diameters, and reuses the original spacer inside (if available).
- Reliable Material: The NCX seatpost is an excellent suspension seatpost - especially for ebikes without rear suspension. However, if you weigh more than 200lbs, it will not support your weight and will bounce up and down like a spring-loaded single stilt. Even if you max out the spring tension, it won't help. But this red spring is designed to take the extra weight and is easy to install and adjust!
- Perfect after-sales: we will provide you with quality and performance guarantee, if you have any questions about our seat post springs, please feel free to contact us by email, we will give you a satisfactory answer within 24 hours!
How to check whether it fits your commuter bike
Do not infer compatibility from the “City” category. A fork must match the bicycle’s actual frame and front-end standards. Before ordering, compare the fork’s exact configuration with the bike maker’s specifications or have a qualified bicycle shop confirm the match.
- Wheel size and clearance: Confirm the fork is intended for your wheel size and that the tire and wheel clear the fork and frame.
- Steerer: Check the required diameter and type, as well as steerer length and headset fit. The product page lists 1 1/8-inch alloy or steel options, but does not provide a compatibility list for complete bikes.
- Axle and hub: Confirm the hub’s axle standard and width against the exact fork configuration. The page mentions an optional 9 mm axle; it does not establish compatibility with every hub.
- Brake interface: Match the fork’s actual brake mount to the bicycle’s brake and rotor setup. SR SUNTOUR writes “Int´l or Pivot”; do not assume which interface your specific fork has.
- Dimensions and frame clearance: Have the crown-to-axle dimensions, fork geometry and clearance checked against the frame maker’s requirements. The published listing does not supply a bike-by-bike fit determination.
How it compares with other city-fork options
SR SUNTOUR’s urban product listing shows separate families including MOBIE, NCX, NEX and NVX, across urban categories such as trekking/city, e-bike city, cargo and street bike. Their appearance in the urban range does not mean they share the Swing Shock’s fit or intended application. Compare the exact model and configuration against your bicycle rather than choosing by family name alone.

- SIZE: 27.2mm x 350mm (PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SEAT TUBE SIZE BEFORE PLACING ORDER.)
- Make sure to measure the diameter of your old seat post before ordering
- Travel: 50mm
- Length: 350mm (Maximum extension of 300mm height)
- Preload adjustable
For a useful comparison, check fit first, then intended use, travel, weight and adjustment. The Swing Shock’s published travel and starting weight can be compared with an alternative only when the alternative’s exact configuration is known. Its listed preload adjuster is not evidence of damping adjustment or a particular ride feel.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The manufacturer’s page establishes the listed design and dimensions, but does not establish compatibility with a specific bicycle or demonstrate how much the fork improves comfort, control or commuting performance. No independent comfort, handling or commuting test results are established here. Treat the fork as a specification to assess against your bike, not as a proven performance upgrade.
