Škoda’s Vision Gran Turismo is an all-electric, single-seat concept created exclusively for Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Revealed on 24 April 2024, it pays tribute to the 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider, a racer developed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its published figures—including 800 kW of system output—describe the virtual concept, not a production car or independently tested road vehicle.
What is the Škoda Vision Gran Turismo?
It is a virtual design concept made for Gran Turismo 7, not a preview of a confirmed production model. Škoda described it as an open-top, all-electric single-seater, designed by a team led by Škoda Design head Oliver Stefani. The manufacturer says it was built exclusively for the game, which is available on PS4 and PS5.
The concept combines cues from the historic 1100 OHC with Škoda’s Modern Solid design language. Its specified performance and dimensions are manufacturer-published concept details; they are not independent test results.
Which Le Mans car inspired it?
The inspiration is the 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider. Škoda says the car was developed to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Gran Turismo announcement spells the name “Spyder”; Škoda’s own announcement uses “Spider.”
#1 Best Overall
- 1/18 Diecast Model Car
- Opening front doors, hood and trunk, steerable wheels and rubber tires
- Made of Diecast with some plastic parts
- Great for collection ,gift to your family and friends
The original was a racing car, while the Vision Gran Turismo is a game-exclusive electric single-seater. Their connection is a design tribute, not a claim that the virtual concept reproduces the original car’s engineering or competition history.
Škoda Vision Gran Turismo specifications
Škoda’s 2024 specification table lists the following figures for the concept:
Rank #2
- Die-cast metal body with plastic parts
- Opening doors and engine compartment
- Adjustable seat back on some models
- Full function steering with Four wheel spring suspension
- Detailed chassis with separate exhaust system
| Specification | Škoda-published figure |
|---|---|
| Motors | Four synchronous brushless permanent-magnet motors |
| Maximum system output | 800 kW |
| Maximum system torque | 1,020 Nm |
| Maximum motor speed | 25,000 rpm |
| Battery | 87 kWh lithium-ion |
| Transmission and drive | Single-speed transmission; all-wheel drive |
| Suspension | Independent-arm, pushrod-type suspension, front and rear |
| Dimensions (length × width × height) | 4,407 × 1,947 × 949 mm |
| Weight | 1,300 kg |
Škoda describes the motor layout as two units on each axle, with each motor rated at 200 kW and 25,000 rpm. The all-wheel-drive system actively optimizes torque distribution between the axles. The company says the suspension is similar to Formula E designs.
What does 800 kW mean in the game?
Škoda lists 800 kW as the concept’s maximum system output. Its equivalent 1,071 bhp figure is measured in the Gran Turismo 7 game engine so players can compare electric and non-electric power ratings. It should not be read as a real-world measurement from a running production car.
Rank #3
- Brand new box. Real rubber tires. Has steerable wheels. Officially licensed product. Made of diecast with some plastic parts. Has opening hatch and engine compartment. Detailed interior, exterior, engine compartment. Dimensions approximately L-10.5, W-4.75, H-2.5 inches.
The 1,020 Nm torque figure, battery capacity, weight and other values above are likewise the manufacturer’s published specifications for the virtual concept. They do not establish real-world acceleration, range, charging performance or road handling.
Design details and in-game liveries
Škoda’s design description highlights T-shaped headlights and a split rear wing. The open cockpit and single-seat layout reinforce the concept’s racing focus, while its styling connects the historic 1100 OHC inspiration with the brand’s Modern Solid direction. Škoda also says the car’s dynamic sound was created by its Development and Design team.
Rank #4
Gran Turismo announced two liveries. One references the Škoda 130 RS of the 1970s; the other takes inspiration from the Vision 7S concept, introduced in 2022. The two designs draw on different strands of Škoda heritage: motorsport history and more recent concept-car styling.

Gran Turismo announced the car’s debut with Update 1.46 in 2024. That is the historical update information from the launch announcement, not a statement about the game’s current update number. Škoda identifies Gran Turismo 7 as the exclusive game for the concept and lists PS4 and PS5 as supported platforms.
