Sorcerer is the first completed Porsche 911 that Singer Vehicle Design says it has reimagined through its DLS Turbo services. Announced January 22, 2026, the commission pairs an original Type 964 monocoque with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six rated by Singer at 710 HP (SAE net). The “700 HP” figure is a rounded headline, not the specification Singer published.
What is Singer’s Sorcerer?
Sorcerer is a personalized restoration and reimagining of an owner’s Porsche 911, built around the original Type 964 monocoque. Singer describes it as the first completed car made through its DLS Turbo services. It is not presented as a standard production model available through ordinary retail channels. Singer’s announcement gives the car’s identity, specifications and design details.
How much power does the DLS Turbo make?
Singer specifies 710 HP (SAE net) from a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six. That is the company’s published rating, not an independently measured result; it should not be confused with a different horsepower rating or treated as a test figure.

Why does Sorcerer have a widebody?
Singer says the lightweight carbon-fibre bodywork draws inspiration from the rare 934.5 endurance racer of the late 1970s. The design connects the widebody 964’s visual direction to Porsche’s racing history, while the underlying car remains a restored Type 964 rather than a new-production 911. The connection is Singer’s stated design inspiration, not a claim that Sorcerer is a replica of the racer.
How does DLS Turbo work as a service?
DLS Turbo is a commissioned restoration service, not simply a trim level ordered from a showroom. Singer’s service framing describes working with an owner around that owner’s Type 964. Its materials position the car for road and track use and specify a six-speed manual. The final commission is personalized, so Sorcerer’s specification should not automatically be assumed to describe every DLS Turbo car.

In its earlier DLS Turbo announcement, Singer founder and executive chairman Rob Dickinson described the concept this way: “The results of turbocharging our advanced 4-valve, high-revving DLS engine have been quite spectacular and combining it with all we have learned about lightweighting and vehicle dynamics has provided the perfect canvas to honor the Type 934/5 and its vital role in the genesis of the 911 as a racing car.” This is the company founder’s promotional characterization, not independent technical evaluation. The available information describes Sorcerer as an owner’s personalized commission built through Singer’s restoration service; it does not describe a regular retail model with a public price or a stated production run. Someone interested in the service would need to approach Singer about commissioning a restoration based on a Type 964, rather than looking for a new Sorcerer at a Porsche dealer.
