Shelby American reintroduced the GT350 fastback for the 2025 model year and announced a 2026 version with a convertible option. The car is built from a 2026 Ford Mustang GT and modified by Shelby American; the announcement does not describe a new factory-built Ford GT350. How much power does the 2026 Shelby GT350 make?
Shelby lists two power configurations for the 5.0-liter Coyote V8. The naturally aspirated version is rated at 480 hp. The supercharged version uses a Whipple Stage 1 system and is rated up to 810 hp on U.S. 93-octane fuel. Shelby’s materials qualify the ratings as climate adjusted and note that fuel standards differ internationally; the announcement gives a 98-octane rating for Europe and some other markets. These are Shelby’s published ratings, not independent measurements.
The product materials describe the supercharger package as including calibration and cooling, with drivability optimized to Shelby’s standards. Shelby also lists a Shelby by Borla cat-back exhaust, front and rear lowering springs and sway bars, flow-forged alloy wheels measuring 20 x 9.5 inches at the front and 20 x 11 inches at the rear, and Shelby-spec performance tires. Shelby does not publish independent acceleration, lap-time, or fuel-economy results in the cited materials.

Shelby’s listed exterior and interior features include an aluminum deep-draw hood with a center vent, grilles with brake ducts, a three-piece lower front splitter, a rear ducktail spoiler, Shelby badging and Le Mans-style striping. The cabin receives leather seat recovers, embroidered floor mats, door sill plates, and serialized dash and engine plaques. Shelby lists a rear pedestal wing for fastbacks and a light bar for convertibles.

How much does the 2026 Shelby GT350 cost?
Shelby’s product page, accessed October 8, 2026, lists a starting price of $124,335 based on a manual-transmission 2026 Mustang GT fastback with the 401A equipment group. That is a configuration-based published starting price, not a live quote; Shelby says prices and availability may change.
In its January 14, 2026 announcement, Shelby listed $121,385 for a nicely equipped supercharged fastback including the car, and $127,884 for the convertible. Those are dated announcement prices, not confirmation of current offers. Ask a participating seller for a current written quote with body, transmission, equipment, supercharger treatment, taxes, and installation clearly specified.

Production, availability and warranty
Shelby American said fewer than 1,000 2026 street cars would be built and that production was scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026. The company said cars would be sold through selected U.S. Ford dealers and international Shelby mod shops or distributors. Those production and channel statements do not establish that a particular car is currently available; check directly with a seller.
Shelby lists a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty for the original owner, while its announcement says the Ford powertrain warranty remains intact. The same company materials caution that equipment may void the factory powertrain warranty, and state-specific rules affect supercharger handling. These statements do not settle coverage for every VIN or configuration. Get the applicable warranty terms and any exclusions in writing from the seller before purchase.
