Those numbers are Segway’s comparisons to gasoline dirt-bike engine sizes—not the electric bike’s displacement. Segway’s May 2026 announcement lists a $5,299.99 U.S. MSRP and says the bike began reaching select U.S. dealers on May 15, 2026.
What are the three power modes on the Segway Xaber 300?
Segway introduced the Xaber 300 at CES in January 2026 with three selectable power modes: 150, 200, and 300. The company described them as equivalent to 150cc, 200cc, and 300cc motorcycles. These are Segway’s equivalency labels for power modes, not engine displacements—the Xaber is electric—and they are not independently validated class designations. In a May 2026 announcement, Segway also named Beast Mode for maximum performance and Pro Mode for power-curve customization.
The mode names communicate Segway’s intended performance tiers, but the company releases do not provide separate measured output figures for each one. The specific range claim Segway publishes is for 150 mode; it should not be read as the expected distance in every mode.
What performance and range does Segway claim?
Segway’s May 2026 release lists 21 kW peak output, a 60 mph top speed, and 0–50 mph acceleration in 5.5 seconds. It gives the bike’s weight as 187 pounds and claims up to 62 miles per charge in 150 mode. These are manufacturer-published figures, not independent test results; the release does not establish real-world range under different riders, terrain, or riding styles.

Battery, chassis, and equipment
Segway lists a 72 V, 44 Ah battery using Samsung 50S lithium cells, with capacity above 3 kWh, and describes a 5C peak discharge rate. The manufacturer also specifies a forged 6000-series aluminum frame. These are published specifications rather than independently verified measurements.

Segway names an Electronic Clutch simulation, selectable traction control, Hill Hold Control, and regenerative braking among the rider aids. It says the cockpit includes GPS, 4G, and IoT connectivity, with over-the-air (OTA) capability.

Which software features are available?
Segway described Virtual Wheelie Coach and Rider Control Mode as features to come through future OTA updates. Rider Control Mode is described as including speed limits, location tracking, geofencing, and real-time app monitoring. The May announcement does not establish whether those updates have since reached all bikes, so buyers should confirm current software availability with a dealer.
Price and U.S. availability
In its May 15, 2026 announcement, Segway listed a U.S. MSRP of $5,299.99 and said the Xaber 300 was available at select U.S. dealers, with additional dealer inventory expected to roll out over the following weeks. Segway listed Shred Velvet and Black Diamond as color options. Availability and actual dealer pricing can vary; check with an official Segway dealer for current stock and price.

Is the Segway Xaber 300 street legal?
Segway describes the Xaber 300 as an off-road electric dirt bike, but its cited announcements do not establish whether it can be registered or ridden on public roads. Street legality depends on the applicable state and local rules, as well as the bike’s equipment and registration status. Ask the dealer and check the relevant motor-vehicle agency before using it on public roads.

The Xaber 300’s published specifications offer a useful starting point for comparing electric dirt bikes, but the performance, range, and weight figures above come from Segway rather than independent tests. For comparisons, look for equivalent measurement conditions and distinguish an electric bike’s actual specifications from Segway’s cc-equivalent mode labels. The announcements do not provide independent handling results or establish how range changes outside 150 mode.
