How powerful is the Prodigy V2 motor?
Ride1Up specifies a German-made Brose TF Sprinter mid-drive rated at 250 W and 90 Nm of torque, with torque sensing. The manufacturer describes the bike as Class 3, with pedal assist up to 28 mph. A mid-drive delivers power through the drivetrain, so choosing an appropriate gear matters, particularly when starting or climbing. One customer review reproduced on Ride1Up’s page and dated April 9, 2026, describes the motor as smooth and quiet and says the rider learned to anticipate gear changes. That is one owner’s account, not a controlled test or a consensus finding.
Class 3 is relevant if you want pedal assistance up to the listed 28 mph. Check local rules for where that class of e-bike may be ridden; the product’s classification does not establish that every path or roadway permits it.

The frame and drivetrain labels matter: Ride1Up lists two distinct setups. Confirm the components shown for the exact variant before ordering.

What range does Ride1Up claim?
The listed battery is a 36 V, 14 Ah Phylion BN21 pack using Samsung cells. Ride1Up estimates 30–50 miles per charge and says actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, incline, and assist level. Use the estimate as a planning range, not a promise. Frequent high-assist riding, hills, and a heavier total load can make a route more demanding; leave a margin rather than planning a ride that depends on reaching the upper end of the claim. If your routine includes long distances or substantial climbing, assess the route and your likely assist use against that uncertainty.

Return policy and current listing
Ride1Up’s product page states that new Prodigy V2 sales after May 21, 2026 are final and ineligible for its 30-day return policy. Because this is a consequential, date-specific term, confirm that it still applies on the live listing before paying. Price and stock are also subject to change; an older advertised starting price is not a reliable current quote.
Water exposure
Ride1Up describes the bike as water-resistant, not waterproof. Its page advises against riding or storing it in rain or hazardous conditions and warns against submersion and pressurized water. The listing does not establish an IP rating, so do not infer one.

Assembly and setup
The official assembly guide calls for brake adjustment and bedding. On XR/ST frames, it also covers derailleur indexing and hanger checks, and warns that incorrect indexing can damage the wheel, motor cable, motor, derailleur, or hanger. Follow the model-specific instructions or use qualified help if you are unsure about these adjustments. It is worth considering if you want a mid-drive with a stated 90 Nm torque rating, Class 3 pedal assist, and the choice between a stepped chain drivetrain and a belt/CVT setup. Its listed lights, fenders, and rack may also suit riders looking for practical equipment included in the build.
