The Renault Kiger’s on-road price is determined by your city, exact variant, transmission, insurance selection, registration charges and any live offer. Renault’s advertised starting figure is not an on-road quote. For a purchase decision, use the published figures below as reference points, then obtain an itemised dealer quote for your registration address and chosen Kiger.

Renault Kiger price at a glance

Three figures are useful, but they describe different things. Renault India’s current website promotes the turbo range from ₹7.93 lakh. That is a manufacturer starting price and should not be treated as the amount payable after registration and insurance. Autocar India separately lists an ex-showroom range of ₹5.81 lakh to ₹10.40 lakh and an estimated Delhi on-road range of ₹6.31 lakh to ₹12.07 lakh (page updated in 2026). Delhi figures cannot be transferred to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad or any other city because taxes, registration and insurance differ.

Figure What it represents Qualification
₹7.93 lakh Renault India starting price for the turbo range Current website figure accessed in 2026; not an on-road quote and not the complete Kiger range
₹5.81–₹10.40 lakh Ex-showroom range reported by Autocar India Ex-showroom only; registration, insurance and local charges are extra
₹6.31–₹12.07 lakh Estimated Delhi on-road range reported by Autocar India Delhi estimate updated in 2026; exact variant, insurance and offers can change the payable amount

When requesting a quote, specify the city, fuel type, trim, gearbox, insurance add-ons, registration category and delivery month. Ask the dealer to separate ex-showroom price, road tax, registration, insurance, fastag, handling or other charges, accessories, discounts and financing fees. Prices and offers are volatile, so recheck Renault’s configurator and the dealer’s written quote on the day you book.

Which engines and gearboxes does the Kiger have?

The Kiger uses a 999 cc three-cylinder petrol engine in two forms. Renault’s August 2025 launch announcement rates the naturally aspirated engine at 72 hp and the turbocharged engine at 100 hp. One current Autocar product description calls the turbo 110 hp, while other specification fields list 100 hp. Because those descriptions conflict, use Renault’s attributed 100 hp launch figure for the 2025 update and verify the exact current variant brochure before comparing outputs.

Engine Renault-attributed output Available transmissions Claimed mileage listed by Autocar
1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol 72 hp Five-speed manual or AMT, depending on variant 19.83 kmpl
1.0-litre turbo-petrol 100 hp in Renault’s August 2025 announcement Five-speed manual or CVT, depending on variant 20.38 kmpl (manual); 17.63 kmpl (CVT)

The Kiger is front-wheel drive. A manual gives the driver direct control and usually the simplest mechanical layout. AMT versions automate clutch operation but can pause or shift more noticeably than a conventional automatic. The CVT is designed for smooth urban driving, although its claimed fuel figure is lower than the turbo manual’s. Select the gearbox based on traffic conditions and driving preference rather than the mileage number alone.

Features by trim: what to check before paying

Renault’s launch material names Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion trims, while later updates can alter the range. Autocar’s specification listing highlights the following equipment steps, but the published excerpt does not establish every item as a universal trim standard.

Trim or step mentioned in current listings Highlighted equipment How to use this information
Evolution Rear camera and rear air-conditioning vents Confirm whether the specific model year and gearbox combination includes both
Evolution Plus Wireless Android Auto and digital key Check phone compatibility, activation requirements and whether the feature is bundled in your city
Techno LED headlamps Verify lamp specification in the current brochure and test the lighting at delivery

Renault’s August 2025 announcement for the updated range highlights ventilated front seats, light leatherette upholstery, rear AC vents, a multi-view HD camera, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six-speaker Arkamys audio, a cooled glovebox, USB charging and a belongings alert. These are headline features of the updated Kiger range, not a promise that every one is fitted to every trim. Have the salesperson mark each requested feature against the vehicle identification number or current variant sheet.

  • COLLECTIBLE DISPLAY ITEM: Designed for collectors ages 14 and up. Intended for display by Renault enthusiasts, automotive collectors and diecast model fans, making an excellent gift choice.

Renault India managing director and CEO Venkatram Mamillapalle described the update as making “expressive design, intelligent engineering, and real-world performance accessible to Indian customers.” That is a positioning statement; your buying decision should rest on the equipment and price of the exact car being invoiced.

Safety equipment and everyday practicality

Renault’s launch communication says 21 safety features are standard across variants, including six airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), traction control, hill-start assist and ISOFIX child-seat anchors. The top-trim specification listing also shows six airbags. Because equipment can change with a model-year or variant revision, confirm the current brochure and inspect the delivered vehicle rather than assuming a feature from an older listing.

Autocar’s specification data lists 205 mm of ground clearance and a 405-litre boot. Those figures suit broken urban roads and routine luggage use, but a measurement does not guarantee that every load or ramp will clear without care. Check the boot floor, spare-wheel arrangement and rear-seat folding method if you regularly carry prams, large boxes or vacation luggage. The Kiger is listed as E20 compatible, which means it is specified for petrol containing up to 20% ethanol under applicable Indian fuel standards.

How much fuel will a Kiger use?

Claimed mileage is variant-specific and is not a promise of a particular owner’s consumption. Autocar lists 19.83 kmpl for naturally aspirated variants, 20.38 kmpl for turbo manuals and 17.63 kmpl for the turbo CVT. Traffic, idling, speed, air-conditioning use, tyre pressure, passengers, luggage and driving style can move actual consumption substantially.

Calculate your own fuel cost

  1. Record distance: use the kilometres you expect to drive each month or year.
  2. Choose a realistic observed mileage: start with the applicable claimed figure only as a planning assumption, then replace it with your own fuel-log result after delivery.
  3. Calculate litres: distance ÷ kilometres per litre.
  4. Calculate fuel spend: litres × the petrol price at your local station.

Illustration only: at an assumed petrol price of ₹100 per litre, ₹100 ÷ 19.83 kmpl is approximately ₹5.04 per kilometre for the naturally aspirated claim. At 17.63 kmpl, the turbo-CVT calculation is approximately ₹5.67 per kilometre. Driving 1,000 km would therefore work out to about ₹5,040 or ₹5,670 respectively under those assumptions; these are calculations from a chosen fuel price and claimed mileage, not observed real-world costs. At 15,000 km a year, the same assumptions produce roughly ₹75,600 and ₹85,050 in petrol expenditure before changes in fuel price or consumption.

Insurance and registration

On-road pricing adds state registration and road tax, compulsory insurance and any selected cover such as zero-depreciation, engine protection or roadside assistance. Premiums vary with city, insurer, insured-declared value, claim history and add-ons. Compare the policy’s exclusions and claim process, not just the first-year premium. Renewal premiums can change independently of the vehicle’s fuel cost.

Scheduled servicing

The available specifications do not establish a current, itemised scheduled-service price table. Do not use an internet estimate as a guaranteed five-year total. Ask an authorised Renault workshop for the service interval, parts normally replaced, labour charges, consumables, taxes and an estimate for the mileage at which you expect to sell the car. Request the same information for manual, AMT and CVT versions because consumables and inspection requirements can differ.

Warranty and optional cover

For cars delivered from 1 January 2025, Renault states a standard warranty of three years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first, subject to scheduled servicing. Renault Secure offers optional extended coverage; eligibility, duration and exclusions depend on the delivery date and plan selected. Keep invoices and service records, and ask the dealer how delays, non-genuine parts or missed intervals affect a claim.

Budget separately for tyres, puncture repairs, battery replacement, alignment, cleaning, parking, tolls, financing interest and accessories. A low monthly fuel calculation does not represent total cost of ownership.

CNG retrofit: when it may make sense

Renault’s 2025 press release announced a dealership retrofit CNG kit for the Kiger at ₹79,500 inclusive of costs. Autocar describes eligibility as the naturally aspirated manual configuration. This is a retrofit, not proof of a factory-built CNG variant.

Before treating CNG as a saving, obtain written confirmation of current kit availability, installation location, certification and registration paperwork. Ask how the cylinder affects boot space, whether a spare wheel or puncture kit arrangement changes, which fuel-system components are covered, and how the retrofit affects the vehicle warranty. Compare local CNG and petrol prices using your expected annual kilometres; without those local prices, a break-even calculation would be speculative.

How to get an accurate on-road quote in your city

  1. Choose the exact powertrain: naturally aspirated or turbo, then manual, AMT or CVT where offered.
  2. Choose the trim: record the full variant name and model year, not just “Kiger automatic.”
  3. Set your registration location: road tax and registration differ by state and sometimes by vehicle category.
  4. Request insurance options: ask for the base policy and each add-on priced separately.
  5. List accessories independently: do not allow optional items to be folded into the car price without your approval.
  6. Check offers and finance: request the validity date, down payment, interest rate, processing fee and foreclosure terms in writing.
  7. Reconcile the total: the sum of ex-showroom, tax, registration, insurance, mandatory charges and accepted options should equal the stated on-road amount.

For a query such as “Kiger on-road price in Bangalore,” the only reliable answer requires the Bengaluru registration address and exact variant. A Delhi estimate is a reference, not a Bangalore quotation.

How the Kiger compares with alternatives

Autocar identifies the Nissan Magnite and Tata Punch as direct alternatives, and lower-to-mid trims of the Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO as additional choices. A fair comparison uses equivalent city on-road quotes rather than mixing one car’s ex-showroom price with another’s on-road total.

Comparison axis What to check
Powertrain response Naturally aspirated versus turbo output, low-speed drivability and highway performance
Transmission Manual, AMT, CVT or another automatic; test the exact gearbox in traffic
Features Match camera, lighting, climate vents, connectivity and seat equipment on the exact trim
Safety Airbag count, ESP, traction control, hill-start assist, ISOFIX and current crash-test information
Practicality Boot volume, rear-seat space, ground clearance and spare-wheel arrangement
Ownership support Warranty terms, service access, insurance premium and written maintenance estimate

Current like-for-like ownership-cost figures for those alternatives are not established here, so there is no defensible lowest-cost winner. Obtain competing quotes using the same insurance coverage, financing assumptions and annual distance.

Who should choose which Kiger version?

  • Urban budget buyer: the naturally aspirated manual has the lowest stated engine output but the highest claimed mileage in the listed figures; confirm that its equipment meets your safety and convenience requirements.
  • Frequent highway user: the turbo engine offers the stronger stated output. Compare the turbo manual and CVT after a real test drive, including overtaking and steep-road conditions.
  • Heavy traffic commuter: an AMT or CVT can reduce clutch work. Evaluate low-speed response and parking manoeuvres because automated transmissions do not behave identically.
  • High-mileage CNG shopper: investigate the authorised retrofit only after confirming eligibility, certification, boot impact and warranty treatment.

Bottom line

The Kiger can be evaluated sensibly only when price basis and variant are kept separate. Use Renault’s ₹7.93 lakh turbo starting figure and Autocar’s ₹6.31–₹12.07 lakh Delhi estimate as dated reference points, not as a national on-road promise. Select the engine and gearbox for your traffic and mileage needs, verify safety and feature availability in the current brochure, and secure a written city-specific quote that includes registration, insurance and every option. For running costs, log your own fuel consumption and obtain a dealer service estimate; no precise maintenance total is established by the available current information.
