Renault E-Space Concept is a concept car that reimagines the spirit of the Espace for family mobility in the electric era. As of 7 October 2026, Renault had announced a 4.70-metre concept and scheduled its world premiere for 12 October at the Paris Motor Show; it had not confirmed a production version or a vehicle for sale.
What is Renault E-Space Concept?
Renault describes E-Space as a concept car that carries the spirit of the Espace into what it calls the electric era of family mobility. The marque links the idea to its “voitures à vivre” philosophy—cars designed around living—and presents the concept as a vision, not a confirmation of a new showroom model. Renault’s 6 October 2026 announcement says: “With E-Space Concept, Renault is rebooting the spirit of Renault Espace, a model first launched in 1984 that has left its mark on automotive history.”
The name combines “E,” which Renault associates with E-Tech, its umbrella name for electrification, and “Space,” which the company says evokes an interior that is generous, technological and welcoming. Those words describe Renault’s intent; they do not establish the concept’s cabin dimensions, seating arrangement or production specification.
Is the new Renault Espace electric?
The concept is Renault’s expression of a vision for family mobility in the electric era, and its name refers to the company’s E-Tech electrification branding. But the pre-premiere announcement does not give final powertrain specifications or confirm a production vehicle. It therefore does not establish that a new retail Espace will be electric, or what form any electrified powertrain would take.

What has Renault revealed about its design?
Renault announced a length of 4.70 metres and described the body colour as black ruby. It also highlighted a wide U-shaped light signature at both the front and rear, with an illuminated diamond centred at the front. These are manufacturer-announced concept details, not independent measurements or a full specification sheet.
When will Renault unveil E-Space?
Renault scheduled the concept’s world premiere for 12 October 2026. The Renault France event page lists the Paris Motor Show for 12–18 October 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 6. Those dates describe the announced schedule as of 7 October; the premiere was still in the future then.

Is Renault bringing back the original Espace?
Renault is invoking the Espace name and its heritage, not announcing a return of the original vehicle as a production model. The company dates the first generation’s reveal to 1984. The announcement does not provide enough detail to compare the concept’s body format, cabin layout or passenger use with the original Espace, and it does not confirm that the concept will reach dealerships.

- Whether Renault will build a production version.
- Any final powertrain, battery or performance specifications.
- Price, retail availability and timing for a vehicle customers could buy.
- Production-car cabin layout and passenger capacity.
Until Renault confirms those details, E-Space is best understood as a design and mobility concept rather than a forthcoming purchase option. Renault’s French-language concept page also frames it as a concept revealed at the 2026 Paris Motor Show.
