Renault’s E-Space Concept is a 4.70-metre-long, six-seat concept that revives the people-carrier shape for an electric-era family vehicle. Renault scheduled its world premiere for 12 October 2026 at the Paris Motor Show; until that presentation, its announced layout and design are concept details, not confirmed production specifications.
What is the Renault E-Space Concept?
Announced on 6 October 2026, E-Space Concept is Renault’s vision of family mobility in the electric age, drawing on the Espace nameplate first launched in 1984. Renault explains “E” as a reference to E-Tech, its electrified technology, while “Space” evokes a generous, high-tech and welcoming interior. The name connects the concept to the Espace heritage; it does not establish that a production vehicle has been approved.
Renault scheduled the concept’s world premiere for 12 October 2026 at the Paris Motor Show. The announcement reviewed ahead of that date did not confirm whether the concept will enter production.
Is Renault E-Space Concept a minivan or MPV?
Renault says the concept draws on MPV codes and reinterprets them. Its one-box silhouette and three-row seating make it a people-carrier concept, while Renault positions its design as an alternative to SUVs and saloons. “Minivan” is a useful shorthand for that broad body style, but Renault’s own framing is a contemporary reinterpretation of the MPV rather than a confirmed production-class designation.

The announced proportions include a relatively low ride height, a low beltline and a windscreen that flows from the bonnet. These are styling cues; Renault has not provided evidence that they deliver a particular advantage in efficiency, comfort or practicality.

These details describe the concept, not final equipment for a retail model. Renault UK says the design, specifications, features, name and branding may differ from a final production vehicle, and that E-Space Concept is not available to buy.

What Renault’s design themes mean
Renault summarizes the concept’s design direction as “Design to be loved, Electrified by passion, Human-first tech and Crafted space.” The announced cabin ideas—three rows of individual seats on a flat floor and the full-width curved OpenR Panorama display—illustrate that direction, but the announcement does not specify production-ready technology or a powertrain.

- Whether Renault will build a production vehicle based on E-Space Concept.
- Any production vehicle’s final dimensions, seating, cabin equipment or design.
- Powertrain, battery capacity, driving range, performance, efficiency, price or on-sale date.
Renault’s concept caveat means those details should not be inferred from the show car. The scheduled Paris presentation may add information, but the pre-premiere announcement establishes none of the unconfirmed items above.
