The list below distinguishes the official PSP car list from community-maintained references for older console games. “Qualifying” here means a listed 1997–2001 model year, not every Integra Type R in a game’s roster.

What “1997–2001” means for Acura and Honda
Acura’s historical chronology describes the U.S. Type R timeline as an introduction in 1997, a suspension for 1999, a return in 2000, and the Integra’s final model year in 2001. That chronology is about the U.S. Acura lineup; it does not negate a game listing for a 1999 Honda Integra Type R. Gran Turismo for PSP explicitly lists the Honda ’99 as a separate variant. Badge and market matter: Acura is the North American marque, while Honda was used in Japan and other markets. A game may therefore list a related Type R under Acura or Honda, and a shared name does not prove that the in-game car data or availability is identical across regional releases.

How to read the list
- Best primary-source confirmation: Gran Turismo for PSP’s official list names all three qualifying variants directly: Acura ’01, Honda DC2 ’98, and Honda DC2 ’99.
- Older console entries: the additional title-by-title appearances above rely on community-maintained references rather than a complete set of publisher car lists. Treat them as reported examples, not a fully audited franchise inventory.
- Keep adjacent model years separate: the PSP list also contains Integra variants such as a 1995 Honda Type R and a 2003 DC5. They are outside the requested 1997–2001 span and are not included as matches here.
- Check editions and regions: the evidence does not establish a comprehensive cross-franchise list covering every platform, regional release, or updated and downloadable edition.
