It adds a fold-out bed, a compact cooking compartment and water storage; it does not turn every G-Wagen into a proven camper. The brochure does not establish fitment for later generations, current availability or price.
What the G-Box adds to a G-Class
The G-Box is a QUQUQ camping box that sits in the rear cargo area; it is removable equipment, not a separate Mercedes camper model. QUQUQ’s brochure describes a combined sleeping and cooking setup, with water storage and small-item storage included. The brochure lists the following contents:

- Cooking compartment and wind protection.
- Two-burner gas-cartridge stove and two gas cartridges.
- Two 10-litre canisters with one outlet tap, plus two stainless-steel bowls.
- Two storage boxes measuring 30 × 20 × 17 cm. Buyers could instead choose two additional 10-litre canisters, for a brochure-stated total of 40 litres of drinking water onboard.
- Removable fold-out bed with tool-free adjustable straps, and a three-part cold-foam mattress.
The mattress measures 126 × 195 cm and is 10 cm thick. QUQUQ lists the cooking compartment and bed together at 65 kg before the stove, canisters, bowls and mattress are counted. The box area is 81 cm wide × 42 cm high × 76 cm deep. These are brochure specifications, not measurements of a later G-Class installation. QUQUQ’s February 2020 G-Box brochure
Which G-Wagen does it fit?
QUQUQ states that the system fits the extended Mercedes G-Class through 2018 and can be used with or without the bench seat. That is a narrow, dated fitment claim. It does not confirm compatibility with every G-Class body, a later generation, or the all-new U.S.-market G-Class arriving as a 2025 model.

Before buying, confirm the exact vehicle year, generation and extended-body configuration with the seller. Also check the cargo opening and interior dimensions against the 81 cm-wide kitchen box and the bed’s 126 cm mattress width. The brochure’s bench-seat note does not supply a complete fitment chart or vehicle-specific installation measurements.
How the box is installed
QUQUQ’s sequence reflects the relatively narrow rear-door opening: the kitchen box goes in first, then the wider bed is positioned on top.
- Load the 81 cm-wide kitchen box into the boot and secure it with four lashing straps.
- Slide the 126 cm-wide bed lengthwise onto the kitchen box.
- Rotate the bed 90 degrees and secure it with two star-grip screws.
The brochure specifies 500 daN lashing straps. Because the listed 65 kg covers only the cooking compartment and bed before furnishings, account for the additional equipment and other cargo when considering payload. The brochure does not provide a complete installed-system weight.

The G-Box supplies camping functions; the G-Class supplies the vehicle’s off-road hardware. Mercedes-Benz’s March 26, 2024 U.S. newsroom release describes the all-new G-Class, arriving in the United States as a 2025 model, with three mechanical differential locks, LOW RANGE, a ladder frame, solid rear axle and independent front suspension. Mercedes-Benz also gives figures of 9.5 inches of ground clearance between the axles, a maximum fording depth of 27.6 inches and stability on lateral slopes up to 35 degrees. What to verify before buying
- Whether your exact G-Class is the extended configuration covered by QUQUQ’s through-2018 brochure fitment.
- Whether the rear opening and cargo area accommodate the box and bed in the specified installation sequence.
- Whether the bed dimensions and your vehicle’s remaining payload suit your needs.
- Whether you want the two storage boxes or the optional pair of extra canisters for the brochure-stated 40-litre total.
- Current availability and price directly with the seller; neither is established by the 2020 brochure.
No independent road test or owner account is established here, and the brochure does not confirm later-model fitment. Treat the G-Box as a documented camping system for the stated older vehicle configuration, not as proof that any G-Wagen can be converted into an off-road camper.
