The Praga Bohema is a limited-production, two-seat, road-legal hypercar built around a carbon-composite structure, a mid-rear-mounted twin-turbo V6 and rear-wheel drive. Praga announced its first customer delivery in the Netherlands on December 6, 2024. In the base Litchfield specification, the company lists 700 bhp—not 700 hp in the usual US mechanical-horsepower sense—along with 725 Nm of torque.
What is the Praga Bohema?
The Bohema is a Czech-built, hand-assembled road car with a strong track focus. Praga first showed a pre-production prototype in late 2022, announced production at a dedicated Czech facility in January 2024, and said the first customer car was delivered in the Netherlands on December 6, 2024. That milestone confirms customer production; it does not establish how many cars have been delivered since.

Praga described annual output of fewer than 20 cars as its target, and planned a production ramp to one or two cars per month from 2026 through 2028. Those are company plans, not verified production totals for those years.
Bohema production specifications
These are figures published by Praga for the production car’s base Litchfield specification. Acceleration, top speed, weight and aerodynamic figures are manufacturer claims or targets, not independent test results.

| Item | Published specification |
|---|---|
| Engine | Bespoke 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 |
| Power | 700 bhp at 6,800 rpm |
| Torque | 725 Nm from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm |
| Transmission and drive | Six-speed Hewland sequential gearbox with paddle shift and a robotic clutch for semi-automatic driving; rear-wheel drive |
| Weight | 1,000 kg wet-weight target |
| 0–100 km/h | 2.3 seconds |
| Top speed | 317 km/h |
| Downforce | 900 kg at 250 km/h |
The headline power figure is 700 bhp, the unit used in Praga’s specification. It should not be silently relabelled as 700 US hp: the units are close, but not identical.
Carbon construction, engine layout and aerodynamics
Praga lists a carbon-composite monocoque, a rear-mounted chrome-moly frame and carbon-fibre body panels. The engine sits behind the cockpit, with the gearbox behind the engine; drive goes to the rear wheels. The company says it developed the aerodynamic package in-house using computational fluid dynamics, then refined it in an F1 team’s wind tunnel.
The 900 kg downforce claim is tied to a specific speed—250 km/h—so it is not a general figure for every speed or driving condition. Praga’s 2023 pre-production update gave a different weight target: 982 kg wet, without fuel. That earlier target and the later 1,000 kg wet target have different dates and stated bases; they should not be treated as interchangeable production measurements.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What makes the design road-oriented?
The cabin has two seats, adjustable pedals, seat and steering-wheel positions, and air conditioning. Praga also describes storage in two side pods and bespoke luggage. The company presents the car as suitable for road trips to a circuit and overnight travel; that is design intent, not independent proof of everyday comfort or practicality.
Praga says the engine and gearbox are mounted independently from the carbon chassis to limit vibration and resonance reaching the cockpit. The car also has titanium exhausts and a 65-litre fuel tank. These features sit alongside the track-oriented chassis and aero rather than turning the Bohema into a conventional grand tourer.
Track focus and driving trade-offs
Praga’s development announcement described testing at Slovakiaring and a goal of combining circuit pace with road compliance and overnight-trip practicality. The company also said customers previewed the final production specification on Pirelli Trofeo R tyres. That preview does not establish current tyre sizes or fitment for every customer car.
Top Gear’s road test characterized the sequential gearbox as noisy and less refined. That is the reviewer’s observation, not a universal report of owner experience. A sequential transmission and high-downforce setup make the Bohema’s track intent clear, but the available claims do not provide independent comparative lap times or establish that it is the best car in its class.
Price and availability context
Praga announced a price of €1.36 million plus taxes in 2023. It is a dated launch price, not a current quote, and the tax treatment and final transaction price can vary by market. Current regional pricing, delivery availability and service representation are not established by the cited announcements.

In its December 2024 production announcement, Praga owner Tomas Kasparek said the company had delivered the road-legal car it had promised. That statement is promotional company language; the independently useful fact is the company’s announcement of the first customer delivery and its published production specification.
