Sam Clarke, Kevin Booker and Richard Parker completed the 22-hour, 57-minute attempt in Norwich, UK, on 26–27 July 2025.
What the Polestar 3 record means
The Guinness category is specifically the longest single-charge journey by a production battery-powered electric SUV. It is not a record for every type of electric vehicle, and the distance should be understood within that category. Guinness lists the distance as 935.44 km (581.26 miles), the drivers as Sam Clarke, Kevin Booker and Richard Parker, and the location and dates as Norwich, UK, on 26–27 July 2025. The listed attempt duration is 22 hours and 57 minutes. Guinness World Records’ entry was accessed on 8 October 2026.
Which Polestar 3 was used?
Polestar says the car was an unmodified Polestar 3 Long range Single motor. The manufacturer also reports average efficiency of 12.1 kWh/100 km (19.5 kWh/100 miles) for the drive. Those are manufacturer-reported details, not a general range guarantee for the model or a result independently established by Guinness. Polestar’s announcement, dated 14 August 2025, provides the variant and efficiency figure; its video published 13 August 2025 also gives those details. What the record does—and does not—tell drivers
The achievement establishes that this particular car completed the recorded distance under the conditions of this attempt. It does not establish what a typical owner will achieve on a charge. The Guinness listing and Polestar announcement do not provide a complete route trace or enough information about weather, speed, climate-control use, passenger and cargo load, or a comparison protocol to translate the result into an everyday range estimate.

In its announcement, Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller said: “We are very proud to say we have a world record holder in the Polestar family! This official Guinness World Record for range is another proof point that Polestar 3 is setting new standards. We will continue to push the boundaries of technology and electric performance.” This is the manufacturer’s characterization of the result.
