Rokon’s Ranger Dual Sport Edition is a 208cc, two-wheel-drive utility motorcycle whose maker says it can tow up to 2,000 pounds. That figure is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified test result, and the available product information does not specify the conditions behind it. The photos show the machine; the specifications and limits below put its towing claim in context.
What the Rokon Ranger is—and what the towing figure means
Rokon describes the Ranger Dual Sport Edition as a motorcycle with full-time front- and rear-wheel drive. Its product page attributes the advertised towing capacity to that drivetrain and the bike’s torque: “Full time front and rear wheel drive with superior torque mean you can tow up to 2,000 lbs.” Rokon’s Ranger product page gives no test method, terrain, hitch configuration or trailer details for that figure. It should therefore be read as the manufacturer’s claim, not proof that the bike can tow that load easily in every situation.
The towing number also does not describe what the trailer itself can carry. Rokon separately lists a Rescue-Utility Trailer with a flatbed configuration rated for up to 300 pounds of cargo. The trailer listing says the receiver tow bar and pintle hitch insert are not included. Those are separate pieces of equipment and ratings; confirm fitment and availability with Rokon before ordering.
Ranger Dual Sport Edition specifications
| Specification | Rokon listing |
|---|---|
| Engine | 208cc Kohler single-cylinder, four-stroke, fan-cooled engine |
| Power | 7 HP at 3,600 RPM |
| Drive | Full-time front- and rear-wheel drive |
| Transmission | Torque converter and three forward gear ranges |
| Third-gear range | 0–37 MPH |

| Maximum towing figure | Up to 2,000 lb, as claimed by Rokon; test conditions not stated |
These are figures on the manufacturer’s product page, accessed in 2026; the page’s publication year is not stated. In particular, the listed 37 MPH ceiling makes the Ranger a poor match for riders expecting the speed and road performance of a conventional highway-capable dual-sport motorcycle. Its design and gearing are oriented toward utility as well as off-road travel.

Is the Ranger street legal?
Rokon says the Ranger has DOT-approved tires and street equipment and can be registered for road use in all 50 states. Registration and permitted use still depend on applicable requirements and local rules, so the manufacturer’s statement is not a guarantee that a particular bike can be registered or used on every road in every jurisdiction.
The 2021 revision of the Ranger owner’s manual describes the model as having “limited on-road capabilities” and tells riders to check local riding laws. That qualification matters: the Ranger’s dual-sport designation does not make it equivalent to a typical road-focused dual sport in speed or intended use.

How the Ranger differs from Rokon’s other models
Rokon positions the Ranger for on- and off-road use, while its Trail-Breaker and Scout are described as off-road-only models. For a buyer weighing them, the practical distinction is intended road use alongside drivetrain, wheel and suspension design, gearing, speed and the need to tow a load. Rokon’s model and FAQ pages provide the manufacturer’s descriptions; the Ranger’s third-gear range is listed at 0–37 MPH.
