Police were called to a licensed venue on Pinjarra Road in Mandurah at about 11pm on Tuesday, 14 February 2023. According to the police account reproduced by 97.3 Coast FM, staff believed the woman was too intoxicated and had evicted her.
Police alleged that she struck a staff member on the head with the heel of a high-heeled shoe, returned in a red Ford Mustang, drove into the front of the venue several times and then left. Officers reportedly followed tyre debris and road markings to a residence in Wannanup, where they found the vehicle and arrested the woman.

Bail terms reported at the time
PerthNow reported that bail was granted with a $1,000 personal undertaking and conditions requiring Manley to report to Mandurah police three times a week, undergo random breath testing, observe a 9pm to 7am curfew, abstain from alcohol and stay away from licensed premises. The report also said she was disqualified from driving for two months and scheduled to appear at Mandurah Magistrates Court on 29 March 2023. These were terms reported at the initial appearance, not evidence of current conditions.
What was said about the alleged motive and drink spiking
PerthNow attributed an account that Manley had attended a singles night and had been rejected to an unnamed witness. That account does not establish why the incident occurred.

In contemporaneous reporting, Manley or her lawyer claimed that her drink had been spiked. 7NEWS reported the claim; the reporting does not establish that a drink was spiked.
