Emergency services attended a vehicle fire on the Mitchell Freeway northbound at Hodges Drive in Heathridge, PerthNow reported on 20 August 2024. The freeway was reduced to one lane while firefighters responded; the incident is historical, not a live traffic update.
What happened on Mitchell Freeway?
PerthNow reported that emergency services attended a vehicle fire on the northbound Mitchell Freeway at Hodges Drive, Heathridge. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) was at the scene as dark smoke rose from the vehicle. Main Roads WA advised motorists approaching the area to exercise extreme caution. PerthNow’s report was published at 6:30am AWST on 20 August 2024.
Was anyone injured?
A St John WA spokeswoman told PerthNow that nobody was injured and paramedics were not called. The report does not identify the spokeswoman or provide a verbatim quotation.
What is not known about the incident?
