Paysafe has become Envision Racing’s title partner, putting its name on the Formula E team for the 2026/27 season as the championship enters its GEN4 era. The companies plan to use the deal for more than trackside branding: they say they will connect racing with gaming, esports and fan rewards while promoting Paysafe’s consumer payment brands. Those are announced plans, not evidence that activations are already live or have increased sales.
What changes in the 2026/27 season?
Paysafe announced the multi-year title partnership on August 14, 2026. When the 2026/27 season begins, the team will compete as Paysafe Envision Racing; the partners’ October livery announcement also uses the name Paysafe Envision Formula E Team. The title change coincides with Formula E’s move into the GEN4 era. Paysafe’s announcement and Envision Racing’s announcement describe the deal as multi-year.
Why is Paysafe sponsoring an electric racing team?
The stated strategy is to put Paysafe’s consumer payment portfolio in front of Formula E’s international audience and create ways for fans to interact with the brand beyond seeing its logo. The companies describe Formula E fans as people who also engage with gaming, streaming and online communities, and propose linking race weekends with esports, sim racing, gaming activations and rewards. That is the partners’ rationale; the releases do not independently measure whether the sponsorship changes brand awareness, customer acquisition or sales.
Bruce Lowthers, CEO of Paysafe, said: “Envision Racing gives us a stage to reach a global audience that lives at the intersection of sport, gaming and technology, and that’s exactly where Paysafe is built to play.” Paysafe’s announcement also quotes Franz Jung, CEO & Chairman of the Board of Envision Racing and VP Envision Energy: “Envision Energy is delighted to have such a wonderful global brand like Paysafe joining Envision as Title Partners of the team.”

Which Paysafe brands are being promoted?
The partnership announcement names Skrill, PaysafeCard, PaysafeWallet and PagoEfectivo. It does not establish that every brand or service is available in every country, or that fans must use a Paysafe product to participate in a promotion.
Paysafe also used the announcement to describe its business scale. The company said it serves more than 1 million retailers and 19 million annual active users, operates regulatory and risk infrastructure in more than 100 countries, and has more than 100 banking partners. It reported $167 billion in annualized transactional volume in 2025. These are Paysafe’s figures in its 2026 announcement, not independently verified measures of this sponsorship’s reach or effect. The companies have discussed esports tournaments, sim racing, VIP experiences, gaming activations, wallet integrations, rewards, exclusive content and race-weekend experiences. The announcements describe intended or developing activity; they do not confirm that each feature is available now. Paysafe’s fan page invites people to sign up for a chance to win limited-edition merchandise, but the cited material does not establish a specific item for sale, a retail channel or an Amazon listing. Check the promotion’s current terms before signing up.
Paysafe’s announcement says its brands will be shown to “over 560 million TV viewers across the globe.” That is the company’s audience-reach claim, not an independently verified count of unique viewers or a measure of how many people will notice the sponsorship. The announcement does not report a sponsorship-specific awareness, participation or sales result.

What does the Season 13 car look like?
On October 2, 2026, Paysafe and Envision Racing revealed the team’s Season 13 livery, combining Paysafe blue and white with Envision’s established green. Formula E described the 2026/27 look as bringing together the team’s racing identity and Paysafe’s visual identity. The championship reported that fans were due to see the car on track at the Jeddah E-Prix on December 18–19, 2026; as that event date is schedule information, check Formula E’s calendar for any changes. Paysafe’s livery announcement; Formula E’s report.
The livery release gives the GEN4 car’s company-published capability figures as up to 450 kW in race mode, 600 kW in Attack Mode and 700 kW of regenerative capability. Formula E separately reports a maximum speed above 335 kph, approximately 1.8 seconds from 0 to 100 kph, and 600 kW in Attack Mode. These are specifications reported by Paysafe and the championship, respectively—not performance tests conducted for the partnership. Paysafe; Formula E.

What the deal proves—and what it does not
The title partnership gives Paysafe a prominent consumer-facing platform and a stated route to connect payment brands with motorsport and gaming audiences. Its effectiveness remains unestablished in the cited announcements: neither the claimed television reach nor the list of planned activations demonstrates an awareness lift, more customers or higher sales. Those outcomes would require separate evidence after activations take place.
