Pakistan’s petrol price fell by Rs 7.54 per litre to Rs 264.61 from August 1, 2025, according to TechJuice. High-speed diesel moved the other way, rising by Rs 1.48 to Rs 285.83 per litre. These are historical rates, not current prices.
Pakistan petrol price from August 1, 2025
TechJuice reported that petrol (MS) fell from Rs 272.15 to Rs 264.61 per litre, a reduction of Rs 7.54. The report attributes the revised prices to a Finance Division notification, but does not link to the notification itself. Read TechJuice’s report.
Diesel prices did not fall
The same revision raised high-speed diesel from Rs 284.35 to Rs 285.83 per litre, an increase of Rs 1.48, according to TechJuice. The price change therefore applied differently to the two fuels:

How long the revised rates were due to last
TechJuice said the rates would remain in force until the next scheduled review on August 16, 2025. Its account describes the government’s review as fortnightly and says proposals from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reflect international oil prices, currency movements, taxes and levies. The linked report does not provide primary documentation for that explanation.

No. The reported prices took effect on August 1, 2025, and the report said they were due for review on August 16, 2025. They should not be used as current rates in October 2026.
