The mid-November 2025 forecast said high-speed diesel (HSD), kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) could rise in Pakistan, while petrol might get slightly cheaper. The reported government revision, effective 16 November, differed: HSD rose by Rs6 per litre and petrol was unchanged. These are historical figures, not current pump prices.
What the November 2025 forecast predicted
In a report published on 14 November, TechJuice said the expected changes followed minor fluctuations in international oil markets. Its figures were estimates ahead of the government’s revision, not confirmed prices.

TechJuice’s 14 November forecast contains the estimated changes. Radio Pakistan’s 16 November report confirms the HSD increase and that petrol was unchanged.
What “petrol exempted” meant
The headline described the forecast that petrol would avoid an increase: TechJuice expected a small decrease instead. In the subsequent reported revision, petrol did not fall; its price was unchanged. “Exempted” therefore refers to avoiding a price increase, not to a confirmed reduction.

What is confirmed—and what is not
Radio Pakistan reported HSD at Rs284.44 per litre, up Rs6 from Rs278.44, with the revised prices taking effect on 16 November 2025. That increase was smaller than the forecast maximum of Rs9.50 per litre. Its report also said petrol was unchanged.
The reviewed final report does not establish the revised kerosene or LDO prices. The figures in the forecast column for those fuels should not be treated as final government prices.
