Introduced on 18 March 2021, it is a bespoke Huayra built exclusively for track use, with a naturally aspirated V12 developed with HWA AG and production limited to 30 examples. Pagani’s official output is 850 HP (625 kW); the “838 HP” figure sometimes used in the title is a rounded conversion of that metric power rating to mechanical horsepower.
A Huayra freed from road-use constraints
Pagani describes the Huayra R as a car made exclusively for track use. That states the car’s intended use; it does not, by itself, settle whether a particular jurisdiction would permit registration. Pagani introduced the model as a return to the track-focused spirit of the Zonda R after more than a decade. Its press-room description says the design draws inspiration from endurance prototypes of the 1960s and 1970s.
The launch release limited production to 30 examples. Horacio Pagani called it “the freest, most extreme and performance-oriented Pagani car of all time,” a description of the company’s intent rather than a comparative performance result.
A naturally aspirated V12 developed with HWA
The Pagani V12-R is a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 developed from the ground up in partnership with HWA AG. Pagani’s published figures are 850 HP (625 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 750 Nm of torque from 5,500 to 8,300 rpm, with a 9,000-rpm red line. The launch release quotes Horacio Pagani describing the brief as an engine with “the charm, romance, sound and simplicity of the F1 engines of the 1980s,” while using contemporary technology.

The “838 HP” shorthand is not Pagani’s published rating: 625 kW converts to about 838 mechanical horsepower. For the manufacturer’s stated specification, 850 HP (625 kW) is the clearest figure.
Track hardware: gearbox, brakes, tires and structure
Pagani specifies rear-wheel drive and a six-speed sequential gearbox with non-synchronized dog rings. The braking system uses Brembo CCM-R ventilated discs with monolithic six-piston calipers at both ends.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured figures. The extensive composite structure and stated dry weight convey the engineering approach, but do not establish how the car performs on a circuit.
A customer track experience
Pagani connects the Huayra R to Arte in Pista, its tailor-made track experience for customers. The program is part of the car’s ownership context, not evidence of general public access: the available descriptions do not establish current enrollment terms, eligibility, or an event schedule.

What the launch figures do—and do not—tell you
Pagani’s 2021 launch release quoted a base price of EUR 2.6 million plus tax. That is the original announced price, not a current asking price or valuation. The cited manufacturer material does not provide an independently established lap time, acceleration time, or top speed, so the published power and weight should not be mistaken for instrumented performance results.
For collectors interested in a smaller-scale version, Pagani Beverly Hills Store lists a 1:18 Huayra R replica by BBR Models, limited to 200 pieces and supplied with a base and display case. That listing does not establish current stock or price elsewhere, or availability through Amazon.
