The ONYX LZR is a dirt-jumper-inspired electric bicycle presented for urban riding and dirt-oriented use, but the available sources do not establish that it is safe or manufacturer-approved for jumps or acrobatics. Its manual documents two versions—the LZR 500W and LZR PRO 900W—and sets practical limits and safety guidance riders should know before using one.
What the ONYX LZR is—and what “air time acrobatics” means
InsideEVs described the LZR in 2022 as blending dirt-jumper styling with street-oriented urban use. New Atlas’s phrase “street life, dirt riding and air time acrobatics” is editorial framing, not proof of a rated jumping capability. The reviewed sources do not demonstrate that jumping is safe, approved by the manufacturer, or appropriate for every rider.
The owner’s manual covers assembly, operation, pedal assist, maintenance and safety. It is the relevant starting point for setup and ordinary riding, but it does not establish a jump rating. A dirt-jumper-inspired appearance should not be treated as evidence that the frame, wheels, fork, brakes or other components have been approved for repeated landing impacts.
Which LZR versions are documented?
The ONYX owner’s manual names two versions. The sources reviewed do not provide enough comparative specifications to recommend one over the other.

The model labels alone do not settle questions such as motor configuration, battery capacity, legal classification, brakes, suspension, warranty or current support. Before choosing between versions, confirm those details against model-specific documentation and check the rules where you plan to ride.
Battery and reported range
InsideEVs reported a 504 Wh battery and a range of 30–70 miles, depending on riding mode, in its 2022 coverage. These are reported figures, not independent test results or a guaranteed distance for every rider or route. The range qualification matters: riding mode affects the reported span, and the source does not establish a single expected range for a particular set of conditions. Safety and setup points from the owner’s manual
- Wear a helmet. The manual recommends helmet use but does not specify a particular helmet type, fit standard or brand.
- Ride solo. The bike is for one rider.
- Respect the load limit. The stated maximum load is 300 lb (136.1 kg).
- Allow more stopping distance in poor weather. The manual warns that rain or snow increases braking time and advises braking earlier.
- Understand pedal assist. The manual describes five pedal-assist levels.
These instructions do not amount to approval for jumping. For any riding that may involve impacts, get explicit guidance from ONYX on the exact model and its intended use rather than inferring suitability from styling or general operation instructions.

The manual includes assembly guidance and identifies a supplied Y-wrench and 15 mm wrench. That does not establish a need for an aftermarket tool kit or that a generic part will fit. Confirm any replacement component or tool requirement for the exact LZR version before ordering.
