What is known about the official service schedule?
No searched manufacturer owner manual, warranty schedule or service bulletin publishes a Mopido inspection table with first-service, second-service or annual kilometre/month intervals. Consequently, assigning a 500 km, 2,000 km or yearly service interval would be speculation. The same limitation applies to a definitive labour rate, battery replacement price, brake-service price and charger price.
Request the current documentation for your vehicle rather than relying on a generic electric-scooter schedule. Ask an authorised Omega Seiki Mobility dealer to put the schedule and warranty conditions in writing.
- Provide identification: give the dealer the VIN or chassis number, model year, delivery date and odometer reading.
- Request the owner documentation: obtain the current Mopido owner manual, warranty booklet and any service-campaign or software-update notices.
- Ask for a written interval table: it should state each inspection’s time or kilometre trigger, included labour, consumables, taxes and exclusions.

Before every ride
- Look for cuts, bulges, exposed cord, embedded objects or an unusually soft tyre. Confirm that both wheels are the listed 90/90-12 size and that the pressure matches the value on the vehicle label or in the owner manual.
- Squeeze and release the brake controls and apply each brake at walking speed in a safe area. Do not ride if braking is weak, spongy, noisy, uneven or accompanied by scraping.
- Check the throttle returns smoothly, the stand is secure, and the headlamp, tail lamp, brake lamp, indicators and horn operate.
- Look for warning lights, error codes, loose fasteners, fluid contamination or fresh damage around the motor, wheels and frame.
During charging
- Inspect the mains lead, charger casing, plug, vehicle connector and cable insulation before connecting. A cracked case, bent pin, discolouration or melted plastic requires dealer advice.
- Keep the battery area, connector and charger dry and clear of combustible materials. Do not cover a charger that is generating heat or use a damaged extension arrangement.
- Stop charging and disconnect safely if there is a burning smell, swelling, abnormal heat, sparking, repeated cutoff or a new error code. Do not open the battery or controller.
- Use only the charger specified for the Mopido in the owner documentation. A connector that fits is not proof that voltage, current or communication requirements match.
Tyre and wheel care
The 90/90-12 size is the concrete replacement specification published for both ends. Before buying, confirm whether your wheel uses a tube or tubeless construction, the required load and speed ratings, valve type, rim width and the dealer’s approved brands or patterns. Have a qualified technician check bead seating, axle torque and wheel alignment after fitting. A correct nominal size with the wrong load rating or construction is not an acceptable substitute.
Brake checks
Published material does not establish the Mopido’s wear limits or a fixed brake-service interval. Ask the dealer whether your version uses a drum, disc or another arrangement, then have the technician measure the relevant lining or pad thickness, cable or hydraulic condition, drum or rotor surface and wheel adjustment. Squeal, grinding, pulling to one side, excessive lever travel or a hot wheel after a short ride are reasons to stop using the scooter until it is inspected.
Range and battery records
Record the odometer, charge level, route, payload, weather and approximate speed when you notice a range change. A single short trip does not prove battery failure: hills, cold weather, low pressure, headwind and repeated high-load acceleration can reduce distance. A consistent, unexplained decline, sudden shutdown, swelling, unusual heat or repeated charging fault warrants an authorised diagnostic check. Never remove the pack to test individual cells yourself.
Water, storage and transport
Keep connectors clean and dry, and follow the manual’s limits for rain, washing and storage. After riding through heavy rain or standing water, inspect connectors and the charger before plugging in. For extended storage, obtain the manufacturer’s state-of-charge and recharge instructions; do not guess a storage percentage or leave a damaged battery connected.

Comparison listings mark Mopido service-cost fields as “Not Available.” That is an information gap, not evidence that servicing is free or that replacement parts have no cost.
How to obtain a usable maintenance quote
When contacting a dealer, describe the work precisely. “Service” can mean a visual inspection, a paid diagnostic scan, a brake adjustment, a tyre replacement or a battery investigation; those jobs have different labour and parts requirements.
- State whether you want a scheduled inspection, a fault diagnosis, accident repair, tyre work or battery/charger testing.
- Include the current odometer, recent symptoms, charging behaviour, warning-code text and the date the problem began.
- Ask for separate lines for inspection labour, diagnostic fee, software update, consumables, parts, disposal, taxes and delivery.
- Ask whether a failed component is covered by warranty and what evidence is required. Request the decision in writing before authorising chargeable work.
- Confirm whether the quotation includes wheel balancing, tube or valve replacement, brake adjustment and post-repair testing where relevant.
- Before collection, check that the invoice records the VIN, odometer, work performed, parts fitted, warranty on the repair and the next documented due point.
If no authorised dealer is available nearby, ask Omega Seiki Mobility how warranty work, battery diagnostics and software updates are handled in your city before relying on an independent workshop.

Battery and charger replacement: what the price question misses
The 2.15 kWh specification describes energy capacity, not a retail replacement price. A battery quotation may include the pack, battery-management system, casing, freight, programming, labour and disposal. It may instead be a warranty replacement with no customer charge, subject to inspection and coverage conditions. Ask the dealer to identify which situation applies.
Provide photographs of labels and connectors, but do not dismantle the pack. Opening a high-voltage or lithium battery can create fire, shock and warranty risks. A dealer should verify whether the fault is in the pack, charger, connector, wiring, controller or software before recommending replacement. If the scooter charges intermittently, a connector or charger fault may be cheaper and safer to resolve than replacing the battery.
Understanding the charging-cost estimate
The ₹210 monthly and ₹0.14-per-kilometre figures are scenario estimates, not promises. ZigWheels used its stated electricity rate and 50 km per day assumption. Your result changes with daily distance, local tariff slabs, charging losses, time-of-use pricing, temperature, tyre pressure and how much energy remains when you plug in.

When to stop riding and seek professional help
- Tyre damage, a rapid pressure loss, a loose wheel or a newly developed wobble.
- Brake fade, grinding, a seized wheel, fluid leakage or a control that does not return normally.
- Battery swelling, smoke, burning odour, repeated overheating, sparks or an error that returns after a restart.
- Exposed wiring, melted connectors, water inside electrical housings or a charger that trips the electrical supply.
- Sudden loss of drive, repeated shutdowns or a range collapse that cannot be explained by route, load or weather.
Move the scooter to a safe, dry location without handling a hot or damaged battery, and follow the emergency and transport instructions in the owner manual or from the authorised dealer.
A practical ownership record
Create one file for the Mopido containing the purchase invoice, insurance, VIN photograph, owner manual, warranty terms, dealer schedule, tyre invoices, brake measurements, charging observations and every repair invoice. Record the date, odometer and symptom for each visit. This record does not create an official service interval, but it gives the dealer the evidence needed to diagnose changes and assess warranty eligibility.
Until Omega Seiki Mobility or an authorised dealer supplies a model-year-specific table, the defensible approach is simple: perform safety checks by condition, use the documented 90/90-12 tyre specification, protect the charging system, and obtain written prices before authorising paid work.
