They are racing machines for circuit use—not road-going motorcycles—and the reported prices are launch figures, not confirmed current quotes.

Are Ohvale motorcycles road-legal in India?
No. Autocar India describes the motorcycles as track-riding-only and not street-legal. They are intended for circuit riding and rider development, including practice with braking, throttle control, body position and cornering—not commuting or ordinary public-road use. What distinguishes the four configurations?
Autocar India reports four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engines with carburettor fueling. The GP-0 110 is listed at 106.7cc, the GP-0 160 at 155.5cc and the GP-2 190 at 187.18cc. The 110 uses an automatic four-speed gearbox; the 160 and 190 use manual four-speed gearboxes.

The displacements, transmissions and dry weights are figures reported by Autocar India; confirm the exact specification for the model year and variant with HOM before purchase. Autocar identifies the GP-2 190 Race as adding a slipper clutch and quickshifter.

Standard versus Race equipment
ETAuto’s launch specification report describes steel trellis frames, aluminium swingarms, upside-down front forks and rear piggyback monoshocks across the range. It also lists aluminium wheels, Pirelli Diablo slick tyres, disc brakes and braided steel brake lines. Race equipment is not uniform across all models: the report says Race variants add fully adjustable 35 mm OhRacing front forks, while selected variants use Brembo components, slipper clutches or electronic quickshifters. Check the individual variant specification rather than assuming every listed component comes on every bike. ETAuto’s launch coverage is the source for these equipment descriptions.

The launch information does not establish a formal beginner recommendation, rider age floor or eligibility rules, so price and model name alone are not enough to select a bike. Ohvale India groups its wider range as GP-0 (initiate), GP-2 (advanced) and GP-7 (expert); this is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent qualification standard. The Indian launch coverage names GP-0 110, GP-0 160 and GP-2 190 models.

The most useful distinctions to discuss with a qualified track coach or the importer are the automatic transmission on the GP-0 110 versus the manual gearboxes on the other two models, the GP-0 versus GP-2 family positioning, and the differences in Race equipment. Before committing, ask which model suits the rider’s experience and intended circuit, what training and protective equipment are required, and whether track access is available. HOM said it plans to work with motorcycle academies, trainers and karting facilities; that statement does not confirm currently bookable courses or active partner locations.
Managing Director of House of Machines Ajit Bharadwaj said the motorcycles are intended to help young riders learn riding technique and understand how a racing motorcycle responds on track. This is the company’s stated purpose, not independent evidence of training outcomes. The manufacturer’s model positioning is available at Ohvale India.
