The ranking covers electric motorcycles, not the wider electric two-wheeler market that includes scooters. The figures are a snapshot taken at 11 a.m. on October 1, 2026.

The table below ranks the five manufacturers reported by ETAuto using Vahan dashboard figures for September 2026. Autocar Professional reported that the five together accounted for 3,066 registrations.

Oben’s 1,417 registrations amounted to about 46.2% of the five makers’ combined total, according to Autocar Professional. That percentage uses only these five manufacturers as its denominator; it is not Oben’s share of India’s complete electric two-wheeler market. Autocar Professional’s report and ETAuto’s report attribute the registration figures to Vahan.
What the ranking does—and does not—show
This is a one-month ranking within the reported electric-motorcycle segment. It should not be described as Oben leading all electric two-wheelers in India. In the broader Vahan table, which includes scooters, Autocar Professional placed Oben 11th among its top 25 makers, at about 0.7% of the group’s 205,951 registrations. That wider ranking measures a different category and has a different denominator.

Registration counts are not a direct model-to-model verdict for shoppers: they do not, by themselves, establish comparative range, price, performance, service coverage, or suitability for a particular commute.
Oben’s growth explanation and production milestone
Oben credited the Rorr Evo with contributing to September growth, according to ETAuto. The company also said it had rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle at its Bengaluru manufacturing facility. That is a cumulative production milestone, not September registrations. ETAuto reported the facility’s annual capacity as 100,000 motorcycles; capacity is not proof that the plant is producing that many motorcycles annually.

Oben founder and CEO Madhumita Agrawal framed the company’s position this way: “India is the world’s largest motorcycle market, and the transition to electric mobility cannot truly reach scale without electric motorcycles playing a central role.” This is the company’s perspective, not a conclusion established by the September ranking.
