What the Odysse Snap on-road price includes
Ex-showroom is the vehicle price before the costs of putting a specific scooter on the road. In the published city examples, the on-road figure is calculated from three visible elements: the ₹79,999 ex-showroom price, a locally listed amount labelled “RTO plus other charges”, and insurance. The label does not establish that every rupee is a tax, handling fee, accessory, or mandatory charge; a dealer’s written breakup is needed to identify each line.

The following figures come from ZigWheels city listings published in September and October 2026. They are publisher examples, not a national average or a dealer-guaranteed price.

The Delhi search listing shows ₹83,738, which equals the ex-showroom and displayed insurance amounts; it does not show a separate RTO amount, so the missing line should not be inferred or treated as zero.

Why the total changes by city
Registration and locally listed charges
RTO and other-charge figures differ between the examples: ₹250 in Parli, ₹4,199 in Edapal and ₹2,798 in Ahmedabad. Those listings demonstrate why a city selected on a price calculator cannot be substituted for your actual registration location. They do not, by themselves, explain the legal or accounting treatment of each bundled “other” amount.
Insurance quotation
Insurance is also not fixed in these listings. Parli, Edapal and Delhi show ₹3,739, while Ahmedabad shows ₹3,764. The final premium can depend on the insurer, policy type, coverage, add-ons and buyer or vehicle details. Compare the policy schedule—not just the premium—and check whether the quote is for the same coverage period and benefits.
Price and availability date
Electric-vehicle prices, stock and terms can change. A September or October 2026 listing is a dated snapshot; it is not a promise that the same amount will still apply when you pay a booking amount or take delivery. Ask the dealer to date the quotation and state its validity period.

How to get your own accurate on-road quote
- Confirm the exact vehicle. Tell the dealer you want the Odysse Snap and verify the model, battery configuration and colour or variant shown on the order.
- Give the correct registration address. The RTO calculation must use the state and city where the scooter will be registered, not the showroom’s location if they differ.
- Request a line-item breakup. Ask for ex-showroom price, registration or RTO amount, every item grouped under “other charges”, insurance premium and any optional item to be listed separately.
- Obtain the insurance schedule. Check insurer, policy type, own-damage and third-party periods, deductibles, add-ons and the insured vehicle details before comparing premiums.
- Remove items you did not request. Accessories or services should not be presented as part of the unavoidable on-road cost unless you have chosen them or a written rule requires them.
- Check totals yourself. Add each line and compare the result with the dealer’s stated on-road amount. Ask about any difference rather than accepting a rounded figure.
- Verify before payment. Odysse advises buyers to verify product specifications, availability, pricing and applicable terms with an authorised Odysse EV dealership before purchase.
What the ₹999 booking amount means
The official product listing displays an advance booking amount of ₹999. This is a booking advance, not the Snap’s on-road price and not a substitute for the dealer’s registration and insurance quotation. The searched product information does not establish whether the amount is refundable, transferable or adjustable in every sales situation. Obtain those terms in writing before paying, including the event that triggers a refund and the expected processing time.

The official overview describes the Snap as a scooter with a portable or swappable lithium-ion battery and mentions Battery-as-a-Service. It gives a range of 75–105 km and a top-speed range of 70–90 km/h. The official product listing gives more specific figures: a 60 V, 30 Ah LFP battery, approximately four-hour charging, selectable 75 km, 85 km and 105 km range modes, and a maximum speed of 60 km/h.
Because the two official pages disagree on top speed, no single figure should be treated as definitive. Ask the dealer to confirm the specification for the exact vehicle and purchase date, and have the confirmed figure written on the quotation or order documentation. The same caution applies to any specification that has changed between product-page revisions.

Warranty durations above are the terms displayed on the product page. Confirm exclusions, battery-capacity conditions, service requirements, transferability and the applicable terms for the vehicle’s actual purchase date. “Whichever occurs first” means the time limit ends when either the stated year limit or kilometre limit is reached.

- Use the same registration city: a quote calculated for one RTO cannot fairly be compared with a quote for another.
- Match insurance coverage: a lower premium may reflect less coverage or different deductibles and add-ons.
- Separate mandatory and optional lines: ask the dealer to identify accessories, service packages, convenience fees and other choices.
- Check the date: record when the quote was issued and how long the ex-showroom price and insurance offer remain valid.
- Reconcile the arithmetic: the itemised lines should add to the stated on-road total.
- Keep the paperwork: retain the quotation, insurance schedule, booking terms and final invoice so changes can be challenged before delivery.
Common mistakes to avoid
Calling ₹79,999 the amount you will pay
₹79,999 is the ex-showroom figure in all four cited examples. It excludes the displayed insurance and local RTO or other amounts, so it is not an on-road budget.
Using one city’s calculator for another city
The spread between the cited totals—₹83,738 in Delhi and ₹87,937 in Edapal—is ₹4,199. That difference is large enough to affect financing and cash planning, and it is why your own registration location matters.

Treating “other charges” as a known tax
The city listings use a combined label. Unless your quotation itemises the amount, do not describe it as tax, handling, accessories or a mandatory government fee.
Assuming the booking advance is refundable
The ₹999 listing does not establish refund conditions. Read the booking form and request the seller’s written policy before payment.
Relying on one top-speed figure
The official overview and product page conflict, listing 70–90 km/h and 60 km/h respectively. Obtain dealer confirmation for the exact model rather than basing a purchase on an unverified number.
Bottom line for a 2026 buyer
Budget from the ₹79,999 ex-showroom starting point, then add the insurance premium and the RTO or other charges calculated for your registration city. The dated listings show how that produces totals from ₹83,738 to ₹87,937, but they are indicative third-party figures. Before committing, obtain a dated written breakup from an authorised Odysse dealer, verify the insurance policy and booking terms, and reconcile every line with the final invoice.
