There is no evidence-based winner at ₹56,000 yet. The Odysse Racer Neo is a low-speed electric scooter with a 250 W motor and a manufacturer-listed maximum speed of 25 km/h, but its price, range and warranty depend on the battery variant. Odysse advertises up to 115 km, while its detailed listing also shows 90 km and 70 km configurations. A secondary listing mentions a ₹52,000 starting price, but that is not a current, same-city on-road quote for a specified version. Until you obtain matching dealer quotes, calling the Racer Neo better value than another scooter near ₹56,000 would be guesswork.
This guide explains exactly what is known, how the three Racer Neo configurations differ, what to ask a dealer, and how to compare any rival on an equal basis. Manufacturer range figures are not independent road-test results, and Odysse itself says specifications, prices and availability should be confirmed with an authorised dealer.

What the Racer Neo actually is
Odysse positions the Racer Neo as an everyday urban scooter. Its current product page lists a 250 W motor, a 25 km/h maximum speed and an advertised range of up to 115 km. The same page mentions keyless start, cruise control, an LED display, tubeless tyres, storage and reverse/parking modes. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. The page also warns that specifications and prices can change and directs buyers to verify details with a dealer.

The detailed listing gives motor-system voltage as 48 V/60 V, 250 W power and a 25 km/h maximum speed. Because the listing contains more than one battery, the headline “Racer Neo” does not identify one fixed specification. A quote that simply says “Racer Neo” is incomplete: the battery chemistry and capacity determine the stated range, charging time and battery warranty.

- Double Adjustment: Well-attached & long-lasting adjustment dial and skin-friendly adjustable chin strap maximize the best fit and comfortable wearing
- How to Measure A Proper Helmet: To find the right size bike helmet, start by measuring your head circumference, wrap a flexible tape measure around the largest portion of your head about one inch above your eyebrows. Or, wrap a string around your head, then measure the length of string with a yardstick. Size Large is recommended if your size is between 21.3-22.8 inch (54 cm-58 cm). The recommended Age Grading: 5 Years and Older
The model’s 25 km/h ceiling places it in a different use case from faster electric scooters. It is intended for local urban trips rather than high-speed commuting. Before comparing it with any scooter near ₹56,000, check that its speed category suits your route, traffic conditions and the rules that apply where you ride. The evidence available here does not establish registration or licensing treatment for every Indian state, so confirm those requirements locally.

Three battery configurations, not one
Odysse’s detailed listing and three-variant brochure identify three configurations. The figures below are the manufacturer’s expected values. They should be read as variant descriptions, not as independently verified range tests.
| Battery configuration | Stated capacity | Manufacturer-stated expected range | Stated charging time | Battery warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Graphene | 60 V, 32 Ah | 90 km | 8 hours | 18 months or 10,000 km |
| Graphene | 60 V, 45 Ah | 115 km | 8 hours | 18 months or 10,000 km |
| Lithium-ion | 60 V, 24 Ah | 70 km | 4 hours | 3 years or 20,000 km |
The brochure says the applicable warranty limit is whichever comes first. Thus, a Graphene battery reaching 10,000 km before 18 months would reach its stated limit at that mileage; the lithium-ion battery has the equivalent 20,000 km/three-year limit. Ask the dealer to put the exact chemistry, capacity and warranty wording on the order document. Do not assume that the 115 km claim applies to every Racer Neo: it is tied to the 60 V, 45 Ah Graphene configuration in the detailed listing.
Odysse also lists one year or 20,000 km for the motor, controller, converter, tyres, charger, meter, throttle and MCB, subject to the stated terms. The brochure’s “whichever comes first” qualification applies to the applicable limits. Request the exclusions, maintenance conditions and claim procedure in writing rather than relying on a verbal promise.

How much range should you expect?
Use the 70 km, 90 km and 115 km numbers to distinguish versions, not to predict a guaranteed daily distance. Odysse’s brochure expressly says actual range varies with riding and usage conditions, battery age, overloading and other riding conditions, as well as adherence to the owner manual. No independent test or owner-reported result was established for this comparison.

Why the advertised figure can differ from your trip
- Load: carrying a passenger or heavy cargo changes the energy required for each kilometre.
- Riding conditions: stop-start traffic, gradients, road surface and wind can produce a different result from the conditions used for a manufacturer estimate.
- Battery age: the brochure specifically identifies battery age as a factor, so an older pack should not be expected to match a new-pack claim.
- Rider behaviour: speed, acceleration and frequent use of accessories influence consumption.
- Charging practice: follow the owner-manual guidance and use the supplied charger; ask the dealer how the warranty treats non-standard equipment.
Turn range into a useful buying threshold
Measure your normal round trip, add a reserve for detours and weather, and then compare that requirement with the claimed figure for the exact battery on your quote. If your routine is close to the stated maximum, the lithium-ion 70 km version may offer little margin even though it charges faster. Conversely, paying for the 115 km Graphene version only makes sense if its extra stated range and eight-hour charging schedule suit your use. These are decision trade-offs, not proof that one chemistry is universally superior.
Ask a dealer for a test ride and, if possible, a demonstration of the battery indicator before and after a route similar to yours. A short ride cannot establish full range, but it can reveal seating comfort, brake feel, low-speed balance and whether the displayed state of charge behaves plausibly. Odysse’s vehicle pages provide dealer and test-ride routes.
What the ₹56,000 price reference does—and does not—tell you
A ZigWheels comparison result reports a Racer Neo starting price of ₹52,000. It does not identify a city, battery variant, date of the quote, included charges or the final amount payable. Treat it as an indicative secondary-source lead, not as a purchase price. The manufacturer itself advises buyers to verify pricing and availability with an authorised dealership.

A scooter advertised near ₹56,000 can move materially above or below that figure once the quote identifies the battery, charger, insurance, registration or other local charges. Ask for one written on-road total rather than comparing a rival’s headline ex-showroom figure with the Racer Neo’s starting figure.

How to compare another scooter fairly
No specific rival has been established here as a current, comparable ₹56,000 option in any particular city. Do not fill that gap with a generic shortlist: availability and on-road totals change by location and variant. Instead, compare the scooter you are actually offered against the exact Racer Neo configuration you are offered.
| Comparison item | What to record for the Racer Neo | What to demand from a rival | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| On-road total | City-specific written total; note every fee | Same city, same quote date and fee detail | Prevents a starting price being mistaken for the payable amount |
| Battery | Graphene 60 V/32 Ah, Graphene 60 V/45 Ah or lithium-ion 60 V/24 Ah | Chemistry, voltage, capacity and whether removable or swappable | Determines practical charging and replacement choices |
| Range evidence | Manufacturer expected 70, 90 or 115 km; no independent result established | Separate claimed, tested and owner-reported figures | Keeps marketing estimates distinct from measured experience |
| Charging | Four hours for lithium-ion; eight hours for either Graphene version | Time with the supplied charger and any optional fast charger | Reveals whether overnight or daytime charging fits your routine |
| Warranty | Battery limits above; most listed components one year/20,000 km | Battery, motor, controller and charger limits with exclusions | A longer calendar term may still have a lower distance limit |
| Service | Nearest authorised workshop and parts process | Named local facility and expected repair workflow | Downtime and transport can outweigh a small price difference |
| Speed and use | 25 km/h maximum listed by Odysse | Verified speed category and suitability for your route | A cheaper scooter is poor value if it cannot meet the journey’s needs |
Record the source and date beside every number. A manufacturer claim, an independent measurement and an owner report answer different questions and should never be merged into one “real range” figure.

Battery chemistry and warranty trade-offs
Graphene versions
The 60 V, 32 Ah Graphene version is listed at 90 km, while the 60 V, 45 Ah version is listed at 115 km; both show eight-hour charging and an 18-month or 10,000 km battery warranty. The larger-capacity version offers the higher stated range, but the evidence does not establish its on-road price, weight, replacement cost or real-world advantage. Ask whether the quoted price includes the same charger and whether both versions are currently stocked in your city.
Lithium-ion version
The 60 V, 24 Ah lithium-ion version is listed at 70 km and four-hour charging, with a three-year or 20,000 km battery warranty. Its shorter stated range may be acceptable for a compact commute, while its faster stated charging and longer battery warranty could matter to a rider who values turnaround and coverage. Those benefits should be weighed against the dealer’s actual price and any warranty exclusions; the listing does not establish replacement cost or long-term degradation.
Questions about replacement and service
- What is the current replacement price for the exact pack?
- Is the battery removable, and can it be charged safely in your parking location?
- Who performs diagnostics and warranty approval?
- Are consumables, accidental damage, water exposure or missed services excluded?
- Will the dealer provide a written battery-health report during warranty claims?
These answers are not published in the supplied specifications, so they must come from the selling dealer in writing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is a 25 km/h scooter suitable for your route?
The Racer Neo’s listed 25 km/h maximum speed is adequate only if your journeys are comfortable at that pace. Map the roads you use, including stretches where faster traffic, gradients or merging may make a low-speed scooter uncomfortable. Consider passenger use, braking confidence, lighting and storage during a test ride. The product page lists tubeless tyres, an LED display, storage, cruise control, keyless start and reverse/parking modes; confirm which features are present on the exact variant and whether any feature changes the quoted price.
Do not infer highway suitability, acceleration or hill performance from the 250 W rating alone. The available material gives no independent acceleration, gradeability, braking-distance or top-speed test. A dealer ride on your normal type of road is the appropriate way to assess controllability, while the written specification should establish what is being purchased.

A step-by-step buying process
- Define the journey. Write down daily kilometres, passenger frequency, charging location, steep sections and the maximum speed you require.
- Select the battery first. Decide whether the 70 km lithium-ion, 90 km Graphene or 115 km Graphene claim provides a sensible reserve for your route.
- Collect two written Racer Neo quotes. Use the same city and ask each dealer to identify chemistry, capacity, charger, all charges and delivery timing.
- Collect matching rival quotes. Do not compare a rival’s base trim with a higher-capacity Racer Neo; match battery and equipment as closely as possible.
- Verify warranty terms. Have the dealer write the time/distance limit, exclusions, service requirements and claim contact on the quote or invoice.
- Inspect and ride. Check the VIN or vehicle identification, charger label, tyre condition, controls, display, storage and reverse/parking operation. Ride at low speed and over a representative surface.
- Confirm service access. Identify the nearest authorised workshop, booking channel, expected parts lead time and who handles a battery fault.
- Compare total cost of ownership. Include charging arrangements, insurance or registration where applicable, consumables, transport to service and any likely battery replacement—not just the advertised price.
- Keep the evidence. Save the dated quote, brochure, warranty sheet and dealer messages. If a specification changes, you can see exactly what was promised.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Using the 115 km headline for every version
The 115 km figure belongs to the listed 60 V, 45 Ah Graphene configuration. Check the battery line on the quote before using that number in your decision.
Treating ₹52,000 as an on-road offer
The secondary listing does not establish city, variant or included charges. Require a current dealer quote with an itemised total.
Calling a brochure figure “real range”
Label it as manufacturer expected range. Ask for a route-specific demonstration, and leave a reserve for conditions identified in the brochure.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Comparing warranty years without distance limits
Graphene coverage is listed as 18 months/10,000 km; lithium-ion as three years/20,000 km; listed components generally show one year/20,000 km. The applicable limit is whichever comes first, subject to terms.
Ignoring local support
A low purchase price can be false economy if the nearest authorised workshop is difficult to reach or parts availability is unclear. Get the service address and process before paying a deposit.
When the Racer Neo could be good value
It could make sense when a local dealer offers the battery variant that matches your daily distance, the 25 km/h category fits your roads, charging time works at home, and the written on-road total is competitive with like-for-like alternatives. The feature list may also suit riders who value keyless start, cruise control, storage and reverse/parking assistance.
That is a conditional conclusion, not a ranking. The available evidence does not establish a current same-city quote, a rival’s comparable specification, independent range, acceleration, hill performance or long-term service cost. Those missing facts are precisely what determine value at the ₹56,000 level.
Decision checklist before you pay
- Exact battery chemistry, voltage and capacity appear on the quote.
- Range is labelled as a manufacturer expectation, with the correct variant attached.
- Charging time and supplied charger are confirmed.
- On-road price is itemised for your city and dated.
- Battery and component warranties state both time and distance limits.
- Exclusions and claim procedure are written down.
- Authorised service location and parts process are known.
- The 25 km/h speed category suits your route and local requirements.
- You have ridden the scooter or received a credible demonstration of the controls.
- Any competing scooter is compared using the same city, battery standard and total-price basis.
Until all of those boxes are checked, the responsible answer to “which offers better value?” is that the evidence is insufficient to name a winner. Obtain the quotes, match the variants and judge the total package rather than the Racer Neo’s highest range claim or a secondary starting-price figure.
