Odysse Racer Neo charging times by battery variant
The Racer Neo is listed with three battery configurations. Odysse associates the two Graphene batteries with an 8-hour charge time and the Li-ion battery with a 4-hour charge time.

The 8-hour figure applies to both Graphene capacities, so choosing the larger 45 Ah Graphene battery increases the quoted range without changing the published charge-time figure. The Li-ion option has the shortest listed charging time, but its 70 km stated range is lower than either Graphene claim.

Odysse describes the ranges as expected figures and cautions that real-world range varies with riding and battery conditions. Treat the table as a planning reference rather than a promise of distance or a laboratory measurement. A full recharge from nearly empty will also take a different amount of time from a top-up after a short ride.
Can you charge a Racer Neo at home?
Home charging is the normal way to use an electric scooter, but the Racer Neo material published by Odysse does not document a model-specific home installation. It gives charge times, yet does not identify the required household outlet, charger input rating, connector type, cable arrangement or whether a dedicated circuit is needed. You should not infer any of those details from an eight-hour or four-hour figure.
What to confirm before plugging in
- Read the owner documentation supplied with your exact Racer Neo and charger. The instructions should identify the permitted supply, connection sequence and any restrictions.
- Check the charger label for its input and output ratings and compare them with the outlet you intend to use. If a rating, plug or connector is unclear, ask an Odysse dealer or a qualified electrician rather than guessing.
- Confirm that the charger supplied for your scooter is the one intended for that battery variant. Do not assume a charger sold for another 60 V vehicle is compatible.
- Ask whether your installation needs a dedicated outlet or any protective device. The published product page does not establish this requirement.
- Plan a dry, ventilated location where the charger and cable will not be pinched, soaked or driven over. Follow the manual’s specific environmental limits if they differ.
A cautious home-charging sequence
- Park the scooter in the location specified by the owner documentation, switch it off and allow the vehicle to stand securely.
- Inspect the charger, plug, cable and scooter charging socket. Do not use equipment with visible damage, loose parts or contamination.
- Connect the charger exactly as the manual directs. If the instructions specify a particular order for plugging into the scooter and the wall outlet, follow that order.
- Check the charger’s indicator or the scooter display to verify that charging has started. An indicator that remains dark, flashes an error or becomes unusually hot is a reason to stop and seek service.
- Leave the scooter connected only for the period and under the conditions permitted by the owner documentation. Keep the cable clear of walkways and moving vehicles.
- When charging is complete, disconnect in the sequence specified by Odysse. Replace protective caps and store the charger dry.
This procedure deliberately avoids naming a socket, extension lead or wallbox because Odysse’s published Racer Neo specification does not establish those details. A wallbox is not implied by the charge-time number, and neither is a portable battery. Use only an arrangement approved for your particular scooter.
What the 4-hour and 8-hour figures mean
The listed times are manufacturer-stated charging times for the corresponding battery options. They do not tell you how much electricity reaches the battery from the wall, the charger’s efficiency, or whether the figure assumes a specific starting state of charge. They should therefore be used to schedule charging, not to predict an exact electricity bill.
Overnight planning
An 8-hour Graphene charge fits a typical overnight parking period if the scooter is connected at the beginning of that period and the supplied charger is suitable for the outlet. The 4-hour Li-ion figure gives more flexibility for a same-day top-up. Neither figure guarantees that every partial charge will last exactly that long; the time depends on how much energy is missing and on the charger’s charging profile.

Fast charging availability
Odysse’s general electric-bike FAQ says the company does not offer a fast charger that reduces charging to two hours. That is a broad company statement, not a Racer Neo-specific charging test. The Racer Neo figures remain 8 hours for the Graphene options and 4 hours for Li-ion in the product specifications. Do not buy a third-party “fast” charger on the assumption that it will work with this scooter or preserve the battery warranty.

These are calculations from the listed voltage and amp-hour ratings, not electricity-meter readings. They represent nominal energy in the battery. Electricity drawn at the wall can be higher because charging losses are not quantified in the Racer Neo specifications.
How much does it cost to charge?
Use your household’s marginal electricity rate—the price of the next kilowatt-hour you consume—for a transparent estimate. Let R represent that rate in rupees per kWh.

For example, if your tariff is represented by R, a nominally empty-to-full 45 Ah Graphene recharge contributes 2.70 × R to the energy portion of the bill. Replace R with the rate on your electricity statement. Because the charger and battery losses are not published, the actual metered cost will normally be higher than this nominal-energy calculation.

- Starting state of charge: A top-up from half full uses less energy than a recharge from nearly empty.
- Charging losses: The product page does not state charger efficiency or battery charging losses, so wall consumption cannot be calculated exactly from the Ah rating.
- Tariff structure: Tiered rates, taxes, fixed charges and time-of-use pricing can change the marginal price of a kilowatt-hour.
- Actual use: Range depends on riding and battery conditions, so the number of kilometres obtained per charge is not guaranteed.
Estimating a monthly bill impact
Count your equivalent full charges rather than simply counting plug-ins. If you use half the battery on one day and recharge it, that is approximately half of a full cycle; two such top-ups are approximately one full charge for energy-cost planning.
monthly nominal energy = nominal battery kWh × equivalent full charges per month
monthly energy cost estimate = monthly nominal energy × marginal tariff
This method is more useful than multiplying the listed charge time by an assumed household wattage, because the Racer Neo material does not publish the charger’s input power. For a precise bill estimate, measure the charger’s wall consumption with equipment rated for the charger and use the measured kWh alongside your tariff.

Cost per kilometre: a planning estimate, not a guarantee
If you want to compare charging with another commute, divide the nominal energy by the stated range:

Multiply the last column by your tariff to obtain a nominal energy-cost estimate per kilometre. This is not a measured efficiency result: it combines calculated battery energy with Odysse’s claimed range, and it excludes charging losses. Weather, traffic, payload, speed, tyre condition and riding style can change the distance you obtain, so use a conservative personal figure after tracking several trips.

32 Ah Graphene
The 32 Ah Graphene version has the same listed 8-hour charge time as the larger Graphene battery and a quoted 90 km range. It is the middle option for nominal stored energy at 1.92 kWh. It may suit an owner whose daily distance is comfortably below the claimed range and who can leave the scooter charging during an overnight period.
45 Ah Graphene
The 45 Ah Graphene battery has the highest listed capacity and range—2.70 kWh nominal and 115 km claimed—but still carries the 8-hour stated charge time. Choose it when extra range between full charges matters more than minimising stored energy or purchase cost; the specifications alone do not establish either of those financial factors.
24 Ah Li-ion
The 24 Ah Li-ion option stores 1.44 kWh nominally, has a 70 km stated range and lists a 4-hour charge time. It is the quickest to recharge according to the product page, but its quoted range is the shortest. Confirm the exact battery and charger supplied before purchase because the charging schedule and warranty differ by chemistry.

Battery and charger warranty information
Odysse lists different battery warranty limits for the Racer Neo variants:

These are the limits shown on the product page. Obtain the warranty document for your exact purchase, including exclusions, registration requirements and the definition of qualifying use. A charger warranty does not by itself specify the charger’s electrical requirements or prove that another charger is compatible.
Long-term ownership-cost claims
Odysse’s general FAQ says its electric bikes save approximately INR 1,50,000 compared with petrol scooters over three to five years when charging, fuel and maintenance are considered. The FAQ does not provide model-specific assumptions, a publication year or an independently verified Racer Neo calculation. Treat the figure as a broad company claim, not a guaranteed saving for this scooter.
The same FAQ says battery replacement costs start around Rs.24,000 after the warranty period. It does not give a Racer Neo-specific quote, battery variant, date or labour assumptions. Confirm the current replacement price and availability with Odysse before using it in a total-cost calculation.
Troubleshooting charging problems
The scooter does not begin charging
- Stop and inspect the outlet, plug, charger cable and scooter socket for damage or contamination.
- Verify that the charger is intended for your Racer Neo battery variant and that connections follow the owner’s instructions.
- Check the charger’s indicator and the scooter’s display for an error code. Record the code and contact the dealer if the fault persists.
- Do not substitute a different charger or bypass a protective device to force charging.
Charging takes longer than the listed time
- Compare the starting state of charge with the condition assumed by your expectation; a partial top-up should not be judged by the full-charge figure.
- Check whether the charger is receiving the supply specified in its documentation.
- Look for unusual heat, a damaged cable or an indicator that changes to a fault state, and stop using the equipment if any appears.
- Remember that the 4-hour and 8-hour figures are manufacturer specifications, not a guaranteed time under every household condition.
The range is lower than the claim
Odysse states that actual range varies with riding and battery conditions. Record distance, charging amount and conditions over several trips before concluding that there is a fault. If the decline is sudden or accompanied by a warning, have the scooter and battery inspected under the applicable warranty terms.
What to verify before buying or installing
- Identify whether the scooter is the 32 Ah Graphene, 45 Ah Graphene or 24 Ah Li-ion version.
- Confirm the quoted charge time and range for that exact variant on the current product page and purchase documents.
- Ask for the owner’s charging instructions, charger ratings and permitted outlet arrangement.
- Check the battery and charger warranty limits, including which mileage or time condition comes first.
- Use your own electricity tariff and realistic equivalent full-charge count to estimate monthly energy cost.
- Ask for current battery replacement pricing if you are building a long-term ownership budget.
