By reported U.S. sales, Nissan’s best-selling SUV is the Rogue. Through September 2026, Nissan’s six SUV and crossover nameplates rank Rogue, Pathfinder, Kicks, Murano, Armada, then Ariya. These figures measure units sold—not owner satisfaction, reliability, search interest, or preference—and compare Nissan models only.
Nissan SUV models ranked by U.S. sales
The table uses Nissan North America’s year-to-date U.S. sales through September 2026, the latest period available in its October 1, 2026 sales release. The year-over-year comparison is against January–September 2025.

The sales totals determine the order; the percentage column shows how each model’s cumulative sales changed from the same point a year earlier. A model can post strong growth and still rank lower than a higher-volume nameplate: Armada, for example, had the largest positive year-over-year change in this group but ranked fifth by units sold.
What changed from the full-year 2025 ranking?
The year-to-date order is not the same as the completed 2025 calendar-year order. In 2025, Rogue sold 217,896 units in the U.S., Kicks 103,575, Pathfinder 101,598, Murano 42,747, Armada 17,465, and Ariya 14,906, according to Nissan’s January 5, 2026 release. Kicks therefore finished 2025 ahead of Pathfinder, while Pathfinder leads Kicks in the 2026 figures through September.

For another period-specific comparison, Nissan reported 2024 U.S. sales of 245,724 Rogue, 80,915 Pathfinder, 77,356 Kicks, 19,316 Murano, 15,267 Armada, and 19,798 Ariya. That puts Ariya ahead of Armada for 2024, unlike the 2026 year-to-date order. The completed-year figures are in Nissan’s 2024 calendar-year sales release.
How to use this ranking when shopping
Sales volume is a useful way to see which Nissan nameplates sold most in a defined period, but it cannot tell you which one fits your needs. Before choosing, compare the specific model years and trims you are considering on the factors that matter to your use:

Sales rankings change as the measurement period changes. The figures above are cumulative January–September 2026 totals, not final full-year results. Nissan also reported that Rogue retail sales rose 41% in the third quarter and Armada retail sales rose 42% in the third quarter; those quarterly retail changes are distinct from the year-to-date total-sales percentages shown in the table. The release’s retail figures should not be substituted for the ranking’s cumulative sales counts.
