Nissan Magnite: the broadest sub-₹9-lakh choice
The Magnite is the natural first stop for a buyer comparing Nissan variants below this ceiling. Its range spans the lowest entry price in the list, several EZ-SHIFT automated-manual versions, a high-spec manual trim, and a turbocharged manual variant that remains below the threshold. The qualifying versions are shown below exactly as listed by Nissan.

How to read the Magnite list
- Lowest entry: MT VISIA at ₹5,69,400 leaves the most room for registration, insurance and accessories, although those out-the-door items are not included in the listed price.
- Automated-manual route: All four EZ-SHIFT versions in the table remain below the ceiling. The EZ-SHIFT TEKNA at ₹8,98,000 has only ₹2,000 of headroom, so even a small dealer-added item or a price revision cannot be absorbed within a literal ₹9-lakh ex-showroom cap.
- Turbo option: Turbo MT N-CONNECTA is listed at ₹8,81,000. It qualifies, while the higher listed Turbo MT TEKNA, Turbo MT TEKNA+ and every listed Turbo CVT version exceed the limit.
- High-trim manual: MT TEKNA+ at ₹8,76,000 is below the threshold even though it sits near the top of the listed range. Its eligibility is specific to that transmission and trim; do not assume an identically named turbo or CVT version has the same price.
Nissan Gravite: the seven-seat alternative below the cap
The Gravite gives the shortlist a different shape. It is presented as a seven-seat B-MPV alternative, so it is relevant to buyers who put passenger-carrying format ahead of choosing a compact SUV. The current list includes five manual entries and two EZ Shift entries below ₹9 lakh.

The Gravite price boundary
The Tekna Launch Edition EZ Shift is listed at ₹9,08,500, which is ₹8,500 over the stated cap and therefore excluded. The same launch-edition name with a manual transmission is ₹8,52,500 and does qualify. That difference illustrates why the transmission must be checked along with the trim name.

Nissan lists a CNG pack separately for the Gravite. The supplied price table does not establish its amount or whether a particular combination remains below ₹9 lakh, so do not add the pack to a base price mentally or present a CNG-equipped total as qualifying without a current dealer quote.

Why Tekton is not an under-₹9-lakh Nissan
Nissan’s current price list puts the Tekton VISIA T160 MT at ₹10,49,000 ex-showroom. Because its starting price is already ₹1,49,000 above ₹9 lakh, no Tekton variant belongs in a strict “below ₹9 lakh” list. A discount or exchange benefit may change an individual transaction, but it does not change the model’s published starting-price eligibility. Keep Tekton out of a budget comparison unless your ceiling is raised.
Magnite or Gravite: choose by format first
The price tables establish eligibility, transmission and body-style positioning; they do not establish a tested winner for safety, fuel economy, comfort or running cost. A sensible decision therefore starts with how you intend to use the car rather than with an unsupported ranking.
Choose Magnite when the compact-SUV format fits
- You want the lowest Nissan entry price in this list: ₹5,69,400 ex-showroom.
- You want the greatest number of sub-₹9-lakh combinations, including manual, EZ-SHIFT and Turbo MT choices.
- You prefer to decide between a low-cost manual, an automated-manual transmission or a turbo manual without leaving the budget band.

Choose Gravite when passenger capacity is the starting question
- You specifically need to investigate a seven-seat B-MPV layout rather than a compact SUV.
- You want several manual trims with substantial price headroom for on-road charges.
- You want an EZ Shift version but do not need the Gravite Tekna Launch Edition EZ Shift, which is above the cap.
- You will verify seating space, equipment and current safety specification during a showroom visit, because those details are not established by the price list alone.
Do not infer equipment or safety from the trim names
VISIA, ACENTA, N-CONNECTA and TEKNA are useful identifiers for price comparison, but a trim name is not evidence of a particular airbag count, driver-assistance feature, infotainment item or crash-test result. Check the latest manufacturer specification sheet or brochure for the exact model year and transmission, then confirm the car physically at the dealer. Manual transmission
Manual variants are available across both nameplates and cover the widest spread of entry prices. They are the simplest place to start if your priority is keeping the ex-showroom number as low as possible. On the Magnite, the manual range includes the ₹5,69,400 VISIA, ₹8,76,000 TEKNA+ and ₹8,81,000 Turbo MT N-CONNECTA. On the Gravite, manual prices run from ₹5,73,400 VISIA to ₹8,52,500 TEKNA Launch Edition.

EZ-SHIFT automated manual
EZ-SHIFT versions cost more than their corresponding entry manuals in the listed ranges, but several remain under ₹9 lakh. The Magnite EZ-SHIFT choices are VISIA, ACENTA, N-CONNECTA and TEKNA; the Gravite choices are N-Connecta and Tekna. Before booking, ask for a demonstration in traffic and on an incline so you understand the transmission’s response. The price list confirms the transmission and price, not a particular driving experience.
Turbo manual
The Magnite Turbo MT N-CONNECTA at ₹8,81,000 is the only turbo entry identified below the threshold in the supplied list. Turbo MT TEKNA, Turbo MT TEKNA+ and all listed Turbo CVT versions are above ₹9 lakh. If you want a turbocharged variant, verify the exact engine-transmission-trim line on the quotation; selecting a different transmission can move the car outside the budget.

If your absolute ceiling is ₹9 lakh on-road rather than ex-showroom, even the lowest listed Magnite or Gravite may require a lower-priced configuration or additional negotiation. The only reliable answer is a quotation for your city and buyer profile.
How October 2026 offers affect the calculation
Nissan’s October 2026 offer terms say the offers apply to retails from October 2026 and describe variant-specific discounts and exchange documentation. They are not a universal reduction from every price in the table. Before subtracting an offer, confirm four things with the dealer: the qualifying variant, whether you are an eligible buyer, the location and retail date, and the documents required for an exchange or other benefit.
Do not present a promotional amount as the model’s regular price. Keep the current ex-showroom MSRP and the conditional offer in separate lines on your worksheet. If the offer expires, is limited to selected stock or cannot be combined with another benefit, your payable amount can revert to the published figure.
Why older GST figures can look different
Nissan Motor India’s 8 September 2025 GST announcement described a previous price change for deliveries made on or after 22 September 2025. It included a projected Magnite MT VISIA price of ₹5,61,600 and referred to reductions of up to ₹1 lakh on top-end variants. Those were historical, announced figures, not the current price authority. The live Nissan India price list accessed on 13 October 2026 lists the Magnite MT VISIA at ₹5,69,400, so use the live list for a present-day purchase decision.

There are two current Nissan nameplates with variants below ₹9 lakh ex-showroom in India: Magnite and Gravite.
