October 2026 brings a mix of vehicle news, but not every announcement means a car is arriving at dealerships this month. Volkswagen’s ID. Tiguan is an October premiere with a planned 2027 market arrival; Hyundai says the IONIQ 3 starts sale in Europe this month; and several other updates are announcements or later-2026 plans. Here is what is confirmed, where it applies, and what the timing actually means.
What is new in October 2026?
This is a selective roundup of official announcements from several markets, not a complete worldwide arrival list. The announcements cover an electric SUV reveal, a European EV sale, a Canadian SUV edition, and a U.S. compact-SUV model update. Other vehicles have later-2026 timing, but their announcements do not confirm an October dealership arrival.

October premieres and sales: what is actually happening?
Volkswagen ID. Tiguan: a reveal, not an October delivery
Volkswagen’s September 28, 2026 announcement says the electric ID. Tiguan will make its world premiere in early October. The company describes it as a near-production concept that is not yet for sale, with arrival in markets expected at the beginning of 2027. Hyundai IONIQ 3: the clearest October on-sale claim
Hyundai’s 2026 CEO Investor Day material says the Europe-focused IONIQ 3 “starts sale this month,” meaning October in the announcement’s context. Hyundai gives its range as 497 km (309 miles); that is the manufacturer’s stated figure, not an independent test result. The company also says the IONIQ 3 is the first vehicle in Europe to feature Pleos Connect. Other new vehicles with later-2026 timing
Nissan Rogue Hybrid: first grade in fall, more grades in 2027
Nissan says the 2027 Rogue Hybrid SR AWD with the SR Technology Package is scheduled to reach dealers in fall 2026. The SV, SR, and Platinum grades are planned for early 2027, so the full range is not an October arrival commitment. Nissan lists the Rogue Hybrid SV at a starting price of $35,490, excluding a $1,575 destination and handling charge. Its estimated fuel economy is up to 41 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 38 mpg combined, based on Nissan internal testing—not independent testing. Lexus NX: global-market timing by year-end
Lexus says the 2027 NX lineup will be all-electrified, with hybrid and plug-in hybrid grades, and is expected in global markets by the end of 2026. For select plug-in hybrid grades, Lexus estimates more than 40 miles of EV range. The company says official EPA ratings will be available closer to the on-sale date, so the range estimate should not be treated as an EPA figure or as confirmation of October availability. Lexus ES 350h: a September expected arrival, not an October launch
Lexus said the 2027 ES 350h was expected in dealerships in September 2026. It lists a $49,805 base MSRP and 46 mpg combined EPA-estimated fuel economy for the front-wheel-drive model.
