The reveal confirms its powertrain, platform and intended UK production site—but not its design details, range or price. “Frog face” is a subjective description, not Nissan’s wording or a confirmed design change.
What does the new Nissan Juke look like?
Nissan calls the third-generation Juke a bold evolution of the model’s design. Its April 14, 2026 announcement does not describe a “frog face” being removed or provide enough detail to establish how the new vehicle looks compared with the current Juke. The phrase is best treated as a playful opinion about styling, not a technical fact. Nissan’s Dutch-language reveal frames the new generation as carrying the Juke’s design character into the electric era.
Nissan says 1.5 million customers in Europe have chosen the Juke since its introduction in 2010. That figure is from the company’s April 14, 2026 announcement, which does not describe it as independently audited.
Is the new Nissan Juke electric?
Yes. Nissan has announced the third-generation Juke as a fully electric vehicle built on the CMF-EV platform. The company says it will be produced at its Sunderland plant in the United Kingdom. These are Nissan’s announced plans, not findings from an independent test.

Nissan also says the new Juke EV will have Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, as will the new Leaf. The announcement does not specify charging rates, compatible equipment, market availability or how owners will access V2G, so it is not enough to choose a charger or assess a home-energy setup.
When will the new Nissan Juke go on sale?
Nissan unveiled the third-generation Juke at its Vision Event in Japan on April 14, 2026. It says the EV is planned for introduction in spring 2027. That is a stated plan, not a confirmed delivery date or a detailed ordering schedule. Nissan’s global strategy classifies the Juke EV as a “Europe Core” model—a description of its place in Nissan’s portfolio, not a sales forecast. Nissan’s global strategy announcement uses that classification.

Will Nissan still sell the Juke hybrid?
Yes. Nissan says the Juke HEV will continue to be offered alongside the new electric Juke. The reveal does not establish an immediate or universal end to hybrid Juke sales.
The distinction matters if you are looking at a Juke currently advertised for sale. The Nissan UK page checked on October 8, 2026 describes the current 2026 Juke as petrol or hybrid; its prices, equipment, dimensions and accessories should not be treated as details for the future EV. Nissan UK’s current Juke page is for the existing market offering, not a specification page for the announced electric model.

Has Nissan announced the new Juke’s range or price?
No. The cited reveal does not give the EV’s range, battery capacity, charging speed, motor output, dimensions, cabin layout, price, trims or independent test results. It also does not set out detailed ordering information. Those details cannot be inferred from the current Juke HEV, the Leaf, the Ariya or another vehicle using a related architecture.
A useful comparison with the hybrid will have to wait until Nissan publishes market-specific EV specifications and pricing. Buyers will then be able to compare range, charging, equipment, cabin and boot space, warranty and delivery timing against equivalent figures for the HEV in the same country and model year.
