When is the new Lancia Gamma coming out?
Lancia’s timeline has advanced from a production plan to a car in road testing, but the company has not established a precise on-sale or delivery date in the announcements cited here.
- 18 December 2024: Lancia said production at its Melfi plant in Italy was planned to begin in 2026, with hybrid and electric versions on the STLA Medium platform. Lancia’s 2024 production announcement.

The planned post-summer order window is not proof that orders have opened. The official announcements cited here do not establish current order availability, market-specific prices, delivery timing or which countries will sell the car.
What kind of car is the Lancia Gamma?
Lancia describes the Gamma as a 4.67-metre fastback crossover, rather than a conventional saloon or a simple revival of the old model name. Its announced dimensions are 4.67 m long, 1.89 m wide and 1.66 m high. The car is based on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform and is planned to be designed, developed and produced at the Melfi plant in Italy. These details come from Lancia’s 26 May 2026 announcement.

Will the new Lancia Gamma be electric or hybrid?
Both. Lancia has announced one 145 HP hybrid version and three fully electric outputs: 230 HP, 245 HP and 375 HP. The 375 HP electric version is all-wheel drive; the May announcement does not specify drive layout for the other versions.
The figures below are manufacturer-announced ranges, not independently verified test results. The cited releases do not name a test cycle alongside them.

These are the individual figures in Lancia’s 26 May 2026 release. Its 17 September summary described electric range as up to approximately 740 km and again identified the 375 HP AWD model as the top version. The summary does not replace the more specific May figures; both are manufacturer statements, and neither release specifies the range test cycle.

The announcements establish a product plan and a scheduled order window, not a complete buying proposition. They do not provide prices, delivery dates, charging times, battery capacities, equipment details or confirmed country-by-country availability. Lancia’s Paris Motor Show release announced three Gamma versions for the show, but the cited material does not establish final trim names or specifications.
