There is not enough verified evidence to name ten currently available naked sports bikes with engines strictly larger than 1,000cc in a single market. The distinction matters: a 999cc or 998cc motorcycle does not meet an “over 1,000cc” cutoff, even if it is sold as a liter-class or hyper-naked bike. Several confirmed candidates stand out, but a responsible ten-bike ranking needs market-specific availability and manufacturer specifications for every entry.
What “over 1,000cc” means
For this list, “over 1,000cc” means an engine displacement greater than 1,000cc—not a broad class label. That excludes motorcycles at exactly 1,000cc as well as popular 999cc and 998cc models. A bike’s marketing category cannot override its stated displacement.
This strict definition changes the shortlist. The 2026 1000PS ranking of powerful and hyper-naked bikes is a useful candidate map, but several of its entries fall below the threshold. It should not be copied as a ten-bike list for this title.
Confirmed candidates above the cutoff
The figures below retain the source, model variant, and year because specifications and units can differ by market. The 1000PS values are ranking-page entries, not results from a single standardized test.

These entries establish qualifying examples, not a definitive ranking of the best bikes. A displacement-and-output table cannot determine which is best for a particular rider: handling, engine response, electronics, ergonomics, weight, price, service needs, and local dealer support all matter, and the cited evidence does not establish those factors consistently across the models.
Popular models that do not qualify
The same 1000PS 2026 ranking includes several well-known naked bikes that miss the literal displacement test:

- Suzuki GSX-S1000: 999cc.
- Kawasaki Z H2 SE: 998cc.
Those engines may compete in the same broad market category, but they are not over 1,000cc. If the goal is a broader liter-class buying guide, the title and eligibility rule should say so rather than quietly mixing sub-threshold bikes into a strict list.
How to choose among qualifying bikes
Once displacement establishes eligibility, compare the bikes on the attributes that shape ownership and use—not peak output alone. Before buying, verify the exact model year and local-market specification on the manufacturer’s page or with an authorized dealer.

- 125cc motorcycles are perfect for short urban trips, offering easy handling, low fuel costs, and simpler operation than motorcycles, making them popular for beginners and city dwellers.
- Performance figures: Check how power is expressed and measured, and keep units such as PS and HP attached to the source figure. Do not assume figures from different markets or ranking pages are directly comparable.
- Engine character and intended riding: Decide whether you need flexibility for ordinary road use or prioritize a more track-focused response. Specifications alone do not establish how an engine feels on the road.
- Chassis and electronics: Compare suspension, brakes, rider aids, and riding modes, and confirm which equipment is standard versus optional for the exact market and trim.
- Practical ownership: Verify weight, ergonomics, fuel range, service intervals and costs, warranty, insurance, local pricing, and dealer access. These details are not consistently established by the figures above.
- Maintenance fitment: Match consumables to the exact year and variant. For example, KTM Australia specifies a 525 X-Ring chain and SAE 10W-50 engine oil for the 2025 1390 Super Duke R; Ducati’s US page lists a 520 chain for the 2025 Streetfighter V4 and notes that specifications and equipment can vary by market. See the KTM specification and Ducati specification pages before ordering parts or fluids.
Why this is not a ten-bike ranking
The available figures verify five qualifying entries, including two variants of the KTM, but do not establish ten currently sold models above 1,000cc in any one target market. Availability is geographically specific, and the cited specifications do not provide a complete, consistent basis for ranking ten bikes. Calling a partial, mixed-market list “the 10 best” would imply coverage and comparison that the evidence does not support.
For riders considering this high-powered class, experience, training, suitable protective equipment, and lawful riding conditions belong in the decision alongside specifications. Peak performance is not automatically an advantage on public roads.
