The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce is a compact 798 cc sport tourer with a clear split between the simpler R and the better-equipped Lusso SCS. The “sleeper” label is an editorial description, not proof that the bike is widely overlooked; what makes it worth considering is the combination of a 110 hp three-cylinder engine, touring equipment on the Lusso SCS, and a package that differs substantially by trim. Buyers should check the exact model year, local price and service support before treating it as a practical touring choice.
What the Turismo Veloce is
MV Agusta describes the Turismo Veloce as a sport tourer, blending sport riding with road touring. Its official model page identifies the R and Lusso SCS as 798 cc, 110 hp models, while the manufacturer’s brochure also lists an RC version. Equipment is not uniform across the family, so the badge alone does not tell you whether a particular bike has the touring kit you expect.
The most useful distinction is between the R and Lusso SCS. The official model page says side panniers are excepted from the R range; the MY2024 Lusso SCS US technical sheet includes two 34-liter bags. The brochure also shows a significant clutch difference: Lusso SCS and RC are listed with the SCS 3.0 Radius CX automatic clutch, while the R uses a conventional hydraulic wet multi-disc clutch with slipper function. Do not assume a feature listed for the Lusso SCS is standard on the R.
What the MY2024 Lusso SCS specifications say
MV Agusta’s MY2024 Lusso SCS US technical sheet, dated March 12, 2025, lists the following figures and equipment for that specification. Performance figures are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Applicable Models】Motorcycle side stand for MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 RC SCS
- 【Material]: Made of high-quality CNC-machined aluminum alloy, it is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, maintaining its aesthetic appeal for a long time. The anti-slip design ensures stability and durability. This side stand can withstand the pressure of daily use, ensuring lasting performance and stability
- 【Anti-Slip Stable Base】Designed with anti-slip grooves and a widened, bevelled base, this motorcycle side stand plate improves traction on asphalt, concrete, gravel, sand, and soft ground. The widened base helps prevent sinking in mud or loose surfaces, reducing the risk of tipping in city streets, parking areas, and off-road environments
- 【Adjustable Length】The adjustable length design easily adapts to your motorcycle, ensuring optimal balance and stability when parked. The adjustable side stand allows you to shorten the stand length without replacing the original stand when lowering the vehicle height
- 【Easy Installation】Includes bolts and mounting holes for easy installation without additional tools. This motorcycle side bracket is an ideal replacement for old brackets or damaged bracket bases, providing reliable and stable support to ensure consistent performance and give you greater peace of mind during daily riding

These figures describe the Lusso SCS US sheet, not every Turismo Veloce trim or market. The consumption and CO₂ numbers are manufacturer figures rather than independent measurements; actual use will depend on conditions.
Why the Lusso SCS looks like the touring-focused choice
The Lusso SCS brings together equipment that matters on longer rides: panniers, heated grips, cruise control, a central stand and an adjustable windshield, along with semi-active Sachs suspension. The clutch system is another meaningful distinction if you want its automatic-clutch function. The R may suit a buyer who prefers a less touring-equipped version, but anyone comparing prices should account for the cost and compatibility of adding luggage and other desired equipment.

Fit still matters. The specifications establish adjustable wind protection and suspension hardware, but do not establish that the windshield, seat, or riding position will suit every rider or provide a particular level of comfort. Try the exact trim and model year if possible, especially if you expect to ride long distances or carry a passenger.
What the price reference does—and does not—tell you
Cycle World’s 2024 buyer’s guide listed the 2024 Lusso SCS at $25,598 in the United States. That is a dated guide price, not a current offer, transaction price, or figure for another country. It does not establish today’s inventory or what a dealer will charge. Ask local dealers for a current, itemized quote and confirm which equipment is included on the specific bike.

What to verify before buying
The available specifications do not establish current dealer availability, local warranty terms, parts supply, service capacity, or a reliable model-specific failure rate. Those are important practical questions for any specialist motorcycle. Before committing, verify them with a dealer or service provider who supports the bike in your area.
- Confirm the model year, trim and market specification on the bike’s documents; verify whether it is an R, Lusso SCS or RC.
- Check whether panniers, mounts, the SCS clutch system and other desired equipment are fitted or included. For an R, verify luggage hardware and exact model-year compatibility before buying accessories.
- Ask who can perform scheduled servicing locally, how parts are sourced, and what the written warranty covers in your country.
- Request a current local quote and confirm any delivery, registration or accessory costs separately.
- Use the fuel specification in the applicable owner’s documentation; the MY2024 Lusso SCS US sheet specifies E10 unleaded gasoline with up to 10% ethanol.
Is it a sensible touring alternative?
The Turismo Veloce is a credible option to investigate if you want a sport-tourer format and are drawn to MV Agusta’s 798 cc three-cylinder platform. The Lusso SCS is the clearer fit on paper for someone who wants luggage and touring conveniences included, while the R has a different equipment and clutch configuration. The evidence available here does not support a like-for-like verdict against a named rival on comfort, reliability, speed, weight or value. Compare bikes of the same model year and market, and weigh the equipment against the local support you can actually access.
