MTT describes 273 mph as the motorcycle’s gearing-limited maximum. That means the company presents gearing as the limiting factor, but the figure should not be mistaken for a documented speed-record attempt. Motorrad Online reported the anniversary model’s claimed limit as 439 km/h on February 24, 2025; that conversion aligns with MTT’s figure, but does not establish an independent test.

MTT’s February 5, 2025 announcement says it would build only five 25th Anniversary Edition bikes. That is the manufacturer’s announced production quantity, not confirmation that five remain available today.

The motorcycle uses a two-speed automatic transmission
MTT’s general specification block lists a two-speed automatic transmission. The same block lists dry-sump lubrication, an aluminum-alloy frame, carbon-fiber fairings, and diesel and kerosene as fuels. MTT describes it as hand-built and street-legal
The manufacturer calls the 420 RR hand-built and street-legal, and describes its construction as including carbon-fiber and aircraft-grade CNC aluminum components. That is MTT’s product description; it does not establish registration eligibility in every country, state, or locality.

Its quoted weight depends on the source
MTT’s general specifications give an approximate weight of 500 lb without specifying a dry-weight basis. MotorcycleDB’s 2024 listing gives 226.8 kg dry, about 500 lb, and reports a two-speed gearbox. The earlier Y2K/Turbine Superbike has a separate historical record
Guinness World Records lists the earlier MTT Turbine Superbike as the most expensive motorcycle in production in 2004, at $185,000, and gives its turbine output as 286 hp at the rear wheel. “World’s most powerful” needs a defined comparison
MTT rates this model at 420 hp, but that alone does not prove it is the world’s most powerful motorcycle. The claim depends on what counts as a motorcycle, which versions are compared, and whether ratings are manufacturer-claimed or independently measured. The available sources do not establish a current all-motorcycle ranking using a common method.
How the 420 RR differs from the earlier Y2K
The model names and history are easy to conflate. The 420 RR anniversary bike is MTT’s current turbine-motorcycle offering in the cited material; Guinness’s dated record entry describes the earlier Turbine Superbike. The two sources do not provide a like-for-like test or a complete model-to-model specification comparison.
