The Maeving RM1S Blackout is a dark-finished version of the RM1S electric motorcycle, pairing a retro café-racer shape with a rear hub motor and two removable batteries. Its standout changes are visual trim and K-Tech rear shocks; whether it suits you depends more on your route, charging access, local licensing and service support than on its maximum range claim.

What makes the Blackout different?

Maeving’s US listing describes the Blackout as an RM1S configuration with a matt black tank and graphite coachline, carbon-fiber mudguards and infills, black battery housings, a black embossed seat and K-Tech Razor ‘Lite’ rear shocks. The styling gives the familiar café-racer silhouette a darker finish; the shocks are the highlighted equipment change with a practical role.

Maeving’s UK pages describe the edition as limited to 100. That quantity is a UK-market listing claim, not an established global production total.

How fast is it, and what range does Maeving claim?

For the US-market RM1S Blackout, Maeving lists 7.2 kW continuous and 11.1 kW peak motor power, a 70 mph top speed and up to 80 miles of combined range. The company identifies the range figure as based on the World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC), not an independently measured road result.

Maeving US-published figure Qualification
Up to 90 miles in Mode 1 Mode 1 is limited to 45 mph; range remains dependent on conditions and riding style.
Up to 80 miles combined WMTC-based company figure; not a guaranteed everyday distance.
Up to 52 miles in Sport Company-published mode estimate; actual range varies.
70 mph top speed Maeving US specification.

Maeving says WMTC includes representative urban riding and higher-speed periods. Its US FAQ identifies temperature, wind, gradient, rider weight, acceleration style and average speed as factors, and warns that sustained high-speed riding lowers range. A commute involving fast roads therefore cannot be planned around the headline maximum without a reserve. Maeving states: “Depending on how you ride, your actual range on the RM1S will vary.”

No independent instrumented range or performance test is established here, so treat these as manufacturer claims. For a useful comparison with another electric motorcycle, look for results measured on a similar route and at similar cruising speeds.

Battery, charging and storage

Maeving specifies two removable 2.73 kWh LG M50LT-cell battery packs, 5.46 kWh total. The company lists charging times of 2.75 hours from 20% to 80% and 6.5 hours from 0% to 100% for its stated battery and charger setup.

  • Charge on the bike: Maeving says the bike can be connected to a standard outlet through its built-in charging port.
  • Charge removed batteries: A dual charging dock is an optional accessory, not included equipment.
  • Use compatible public charging: Maeving lists an optional Type 2 adapter for compatible stations. Confirm the connector and accessory availability for your region before relying on a particular installation.

Maeving also describes 10 liters of lockable, weatherproof tank storage with USB-C. Check the current local configuration before assuming that feature or the listed charging equipment matches a particular sale bike.

LIGOOD NOVA X Electric Dirt Motorcycle, 46 MPH 4000W Motor, 40° Climbing with 2849 Certified 48V 22.8Ah Removable Battery, Full Suspension Hydraulic Brakes, Mountain Off-Road for Teens Adults White
  • 4000W Peak Motor: 46 mph top speed, 40° slope climbing—thrilling performance with precision control.
  • Parent-Approved Battery Reliability Safety starts with power you can count on. The NOVA X features an advanced BMS system and a 2849-certified 48V/22.8Ah removable battery, giving parents confidence in every charge. With up to 53+ miles of range, it's built for extended adventures—without compromise on safety.
  • Smooth Suspension for Growing Riders The NOVA X is built to handle rough terrain while keeping young riders comfortable and in control. A rear nitrogen shock paired with a 230mm-travel front hydraulic fork absorbs bumps with ease, reducing fatigue and helping beginners build confidence on any trail.
  • Brakes That Respond Instantly Nothing matters more than stopping power. The NOVA X combines EABS technology with hydraulic disc brakes for smooth, reliable stopping—even on loose or muddy ground. Parents can feel good knowing their child has responsive brakes that inspire control, not fear.
  • A Note for Parents Before the first ride, please ensure all components—especially brakes and wheels—are properly installed and functioning. Check local laws regarding age and licensing requirements, and always supervise young riders. The NOVA X is built for fun, but safety comes first—every ride, every time.

Equipment and everyday practicality

The US specification lists a brushless rear hub motor, three ride modes, an analogue speedometer with LCD information, USB-C, linked brakes, an LED headlamp and Dunlop K70 tires. Maeving lists the road-ready unladen weight as 311 lb and payload as 284 lb. Consider that payload alongside rider weight and any luggage, rather than treating the compact appearance as proof that it will suit every load or passenger need.

The upright café-racer styling may fit urban use, but the 70 mph claimed top speed does not by itself establish comfort or range for sustained freeway riding. Check your intended route, ergonomics, local road rules and access to charging before deciding whether the bike is suited to regular higher-speed travel.

US price, delivery and ownership support

Maeving’s US listing showed a starting price of $11,495 and a $500 deposit when accessed on October 8, 2026; prices and checkout terms can change. The US Blackout page listed delivery at $595 nationwide or $195 in California, plus an estimated delivery window of 2–4 weeks. The window is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival date. Check the current order page for the full delivered price and terms.

Maeving says US buyers generally need an M motorcycle license and advises checking state rules. Licensing and road access are jurisdiction-specific; do not use the UK page’s CBT terminology as guidance for US registration or licensing.

UK listings are not interchangeable with US terms

Maeving’s UK pages showed a starting price of £8,995 and the “Only 100 available” statement when accessed October 8, 2026. Those are UK-market claims and should not be converted into US pricing or a worldwide production figure. UK licensing information, including references to CBT, applies in its own jurisdiction; check current UK requirements and the local product listing rather than carrying over US rules, fees or equipment details.

Optional accessories

Maeving lists a dual charging dock for charging removed batteries and a 14-liter water-resistant roll-top pannier for luggage. Both are optional; confirm current stock, regional compatibility, fitment and price with Maeving. The dock is useful only if your charging routine benefits from charging batteries off the motorcycle.

What to check before ordering

  1. Match range to your actual route. Assess cruising speed, distance, weather and charging opportunities; do not plan around an “up to” WMTC figure as a guaranteed result.
  2. Confirm your legal requirements. Check motorcycle licensing, registration and road access with the authority for your jurisdiction.
  3. Work out the complete delivered cost. Verify current local price, delivery charges, deposit and any accessory costs before checkout.
  4. Check charging compatibility. Confirm outlet access, battery-removal needs, and whether the optional dock or Type 2 adapter is available and compatible where you live.
  5. Verify support and fit. Ask about service coverage, warranty terms, payload for your intended use, and the exact equipment on the local-market bike.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
