The Lexus LFA is the most powerful passenger car in this documented Toyota Motor Corporation selection. Toyota-badged performance cars follow with the modern GR Supra at up to 382 horsepower and the 2026 GR Corolla at 300 horsepower. The exact answer changes with scope: Lexus is a Toyota Motor Corporation marque, horsepower varies by model year and market, and Toyota’s 437-horsepower Tundra hybrid is a pickup rather than a passenger car.
This is therefore a curated dozen of documented Toyota and Lexus road-car nameplates and variants, not an audited claim that these are the universal twelve highest-output cars ever sold. Official records do not provide one complete ranking under a single market, unit system and body-style definition.

How this list defines a “Toyota car”
The list covers production road cars associated with Toyota Motor Corporation, including Lexus, while separating trucks from passenger cars. Race cars, concepts and modified vehicles are excluded. Where Toyota published separate figures for a model year or market, those versions remain separate entries rather than being silently merged.

Horsepower is not a universal measurement across every source. Toyota’s US historical material gives the A80 Supra twin-turbo 320 hp, while Toyota UK’s archive gives the 1993–1996 car 326 bhp. Those figures are retained exactly as published. A number shown as “not stated” means the cited official material identifies the car but does not provide a comparable output figure.
The 12 documented Toyota power standouts
| Entry | Published output | What the official record establishes |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Lexus LFA | 552 hp | Lexus announcement, 2009; 4.8-liter V10; planned production of 500 examples. Lexus is included because it is a Toyota Motor Corporation marque. |
| 2. Toyota GR Supra MkV Final Edition | 382 hp | Toyota announcement dated April 3, 2025, identifying this as a 2026 model-year edition. |
| 3. Toyota GR Supra 3.0, 2025 model year | Up to 382 hp | Toyota’s 2025 model-year announcement, published in 2024; 368 lb-ft of torque; manual and automatic transmissions available. |
| 4. Toyota GR Supra 3.0, 2024 source | Up to 382 hp | Toyota’s 2024 model-year material describes the current 3.0 output. |
| 5. Toyota GR Supra 3.0, 2021 update | 382 hp | Toyota’s history page says output rose from 335 hp at launch to 382 hp for the 2021 3.0. |
| 6. Toyota Supra A80 twin-turbo, US specification | 320 hp | Toyota’s US historical account lists the 2JZ-GTE car at 320 hp and 315 lb-ft. |
| 7. Toyota Supra, 1993–1996 UK archive specification | 326 bhp | Toyota UK’s archive uses bhp for this period specification; it should not be presented as an interchangeable US rating. |
| 8. Toyota GR Corolla, 2026 model year | 300 hp | Toyota announcement; turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder with 295 lb-ft. |
| 9. Toyota Celica Supra, 1979 | 110 hp | Toyota’s 75 Years history page gives the first-generation Celica Supra figure. It is historical context, not a claim to modern-level output. |
| 10. Toyota 2000GT | Not stated in the cited material | Toyota identifies the 2000GT as a key performance touchstone in the Supra lineage, but the official record used here does not provide a horsepower number. |
| 11. Toyota Supra A70 | Not stated in the cited material | Toyota’s Supra archive references A70 support through its GR Heritage Parts Project; no comparable output figure is supplied here. |
| 12. Toyota Tundra hybrid (comparator) | 437 hp | Toyota’s 2022 model-year announcement. This is a pickup truck, so it is outside the passenger-car count but demonstrates why body style changes the answer. |
The clear documented leader: Lexus LFA
The LFA stands apart in this group because its official figure is the highest for a Toyota-associated production passenger car in the documented records. Lexus announced a 4.8-liter V10 and a planned run of 500 cars in 2009. That limited production is relevant: the LFA is not a high-volume Toyota sedan or coupe whose output can be compared without considering its exotic positioning and separate Lexus marque.
The 552-hp figure also needs to be read as a published peak specification, not a promise that every market or test will report an identical number. The LFA’s small production run makes it historically significant as well as powerful, but rarity alone does not establish a universal ranking against every later Lexus F model or an unlisted market variant.
Calling it the all-time most powerful Toyota vehicle without qualification would overreach. The defensible statement is narrower: it is the strongest well-documented Toyota Motor Corporation road-car example in this selection. A broader answer could change if it included race cars, one-off builds, later variants, or every Lexus performance model worldwide.
Why the GR Supra appears several times
The modern GR Supra is the most consistently documented Toyota-badged performance car in the records. Toyota’s 3.0-liter version reached its later output after an increase from the launch specification. The 2025 model-year announcement also confirms both manual and automatic transmissions and gives 368 lb-ft of torque, so the figure is not merely a headline horsepower claim detached from the rest of the powertrain specification.

The MkV Final Edition is treated separately because Toyota identifies it as a 2026 model-year edition in the April 2025 announcement. The 2024 and 2025 references are retained as separate entries because model-year documentation, not a single timeless specification, is what determines a published output. Listing them separately prevents a US figure from being casually mixed with another market’s rating or with an earlier launch version.
For shoppers and collectors, the practical lesson is to check the model year and transmission before comparing listings. “GR Supra 3.0” is not enough information to identify the exact factory claim. A listing may describe launch-year output, a later update, or a special edition, and the source may use “up to” rather than a single configuration figure.

The fourth-generation A80 Supra is often discussed as though it had one universal factory number. Toyota’s US historical account specifies the twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE at 320 hp and 315 lb-ft. Toyota UK’s archive instead describes the 1993–1996 car at 326 bhp. The safest way to report both is to name the market and preserve each source’s unit.
That distinction matters when readers ask, “How much horsepower does a Supra have?” There is no single answer covering every generation, engine, model year and country. The current GR Supra, the A80 twin-turbo and the early Celica Supra are different cars with different specifications, not points on one unchanging scale.
It also matters for used-car research. A brochure, registration document or auction listing may quote the local market’s rating, while an imported car may be described using another country’s figure. Treating 320 hp and 326 bhp as interchangeable can make an otherwise careful comparison look more precise than the underlying records allow.

Where the GR Corolla fits
Toyota’s 2026-model-year GR Corolla announcement gives the all-wheel-drive hatchback 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft from a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine. Its output sits below the GR Supra’s published peak in this selection, but the number alone does not describe the driving character: body style, drivetrain, gearing, weight and traction all affect how power reaches the road.
The model is useful in this list because it shows Toyota applying high specific output to a compact production car rather than reserving its strongest current figures for a two-seat sports coupe. Its torque figure also provides a better sense of the complete factory specification than horsepower alone.
Historical context: from 2000GT to Celica Supra
Toyota’s own history material treats the 2000GT as a performance landmark and a touchstone for the Supra lineage. The cited record does not attach a horsepower number to the 2000GT, so assigning one here would create false precision. Its inclusion is about historical importance, not a numerical ranking.
The 1979 Celica Supra is the opposite kind of evidence: Toyota’s 75 Years page gives 110 horsepower. That figure is valuable because it shows how far the nameplate moved before becoming the twin-turbo A80 and later GR Supra. It should not be described as one of the most powerful entries by output; it is included to explain the lineage represented by the documented high-power variants.
Reading the lineage chronologically prevents a common mistake: assuming every Supra badge represents the same performance level. The 110-hp first-generation Celica Supra, the 320-hp US A80 twin-turbo and the 382-hp modern GR Supra belong to different eras, markets and engineering programs.

Why the Tundra is shown but not counted as a car
Toyota’s 2022 announcement lists 437 horsepower for the hybrid Tundra. That exceeds every Toyota-badged passenger car figure in this selection except the LFA, but the Tundra is a pickup. Including it in a passenger-car ranking would make the result look more comprehensive while quietly changing the category.
If the question is instead “Which Toyota vehicle has the most horsepower?” the answer must state whether trucks, Lexus models and commercial vehicles are allowed. The Tundra example demonstrates why a body-style filter is not a technicality. It also shows why hybrid output needs careful wording: the cited figure is the manufacturer’s published hybrid-system rating, not a directly comparable naturally aspirated or turbocharged engine-only number.
Ownership, restoration and parts context
Toyota’s Supra archive notes a GR Heritage Parts Project supporting A70 and A80 models. That is relevant to owners restoring the generations represented here, but it is not a guarantee that every component is currently stocked or compatible with every market car. Part numbers, fitment and inventory should be checked before ordering.
A Supra scale model or other collectible is another reasonable way to explore the nameplate’s history, especially because the 2000GT, Celica Supra, A80 and GR Supra represent visibly different eras. No particular product, price or availability is established here, so buyers should verify the seller and listing details independently.

- Identify the marque. Decide whether Lexus counts as part of Toyota Motor Corporation or whether the list is limited to Toyota badges.
- Set the body-style rule. Passenger cars produce a different result from a list that includes pickups such as the Tundra.
- Record the model year. A later update can change output without changing the nameplate.
- Record the market and unit. Keep hp and bhp exactly as the issuing Toyota organization reports them.
- Separate factory road cars from special categories. Race cars, concepts and modified vehicles require a different methodology.
- Check what the number measures. A published engine-output figure is not automatically the same as wheel horsepower or a hybrid system’s combined output.
- Preserve the specification context. Note torque, engine layout, transmission availability and whether the announcement says “up to” a particular figure.
What this selection can—and cannot—prove
It can identify the strongest documented passenger-car example in the documented records, show the modern GR Supra and GR Corolla outputs, and explain the A80 Supra’s market-specific figures. It cannot establish a universal top twelve for every Toyota and Lexus road car ever sold because the official material does not provide a complete, consistently measured database of all generations and markets.

For that reason, the table uses “not stated” rather than guessing for the 2000GT and A70 Supra, and it labels the Tundra as a comparator rather than quietly treating a pickup as a car. That approach is less sensational than an absolute ranking, but it is the only way to keep the numbers tied to their actual source, date, market and vehicle category.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Toyota has the most horsepower?
Within this documented passenger-car selection, the 552-hp Lexus LFA is the highest-output example. Lexus is a Toyota Motor Corporation marque, so a Toyota-badged-only list would require a different answer and scope.
How much horsepower does a Supra have?
It depends on the generation, market and model year. Toyota lists the modern GR Supra 3.0 at up to 382 hp, the US A80 twin-turbo at 320 hp, and Toyota UK’s 1993–1996 archive at 326 bhp. The 1979 Celica Supra is listed at 110 hp.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Is the 437-hp Tundra one of the most powerful Toyota cars?
The hybrid Tundra is a powerful Toyota vehicle, but it is a pickup truck rather than a passenger car. It is included as a comparator to show how the result changes when body style is not restricted.
Why are several GR Supra entries listed separately?
Toyota’s official descriptions identify different model years and the 2026 MkV Final Edition. Keeping them separate preserves each published specification instead of merging updates into one timeless number.
Does the Toyota 2000GT have a confirmed horsepower figure here?
The cited official history identifies the 2000GT as a performance touchstone but does not provide a horsepower number. It is therefore included for historical context, not assigned a guessed output.
The Bottom Line
The Lexus LFA leads this carefully scoped Toyota Motor Corporation passenger-car selection at 552 hp, followed by 382-hp GR Supra variants and the 300-hp 2026 GR Corolla. The A80 Supra’s 320-hp US and 326-bhp UK figures show why market and unit must stay attached to every claim, while the 437-hp Tundra proves that including pickups changes the answer.
