The Modern Buggy Ultimate Hauler 18 (UH18) pairs a compact teardrop-style camper with an open powersports cargo deck. Its appeal is the combination: sleeping space and a vehicle-hauling platform travel on one trailer. The tradeoff is that the rear deck is exposed, and the camper does not have a conventional tailgate kitchen.
The specifications and price reference below were reported in October 2025 coverage, not confirmed as current manufacturer data. Check the specific trailer’s ratings, included equipment and price with the seller before buying.
What is the Ultimate Hauler 18?
The UH18 is a dual-axle toy hauler built around two distinct spaces: a 7-foot camper body and an open cargo bed behind it. The reported overall length is 22.3 feet. At the rear, a folding tailgate serves as a loading ramp; integrated L-track provides tie-down points for securing cargo. New Atlas reported these design details in October 2025, and RideApart also described the ramp and tie-down system.
This layout differs from a conventional enclosed toy hauler: the cargo platform is open to the weather, while the sleeping area is a separate enclosed pod. It also differs from many teardrop campers because the rear is devoted to cargo rather than a typical tailgate galley.

New Atlas published the following figures on October 19, 2025. They should be treated as reported specifications, not as confirmation of the current model year or of any particular unit.

GVWR and payload are not interchangeable. GVWR is the reported maximum loaded trailer weight; payload is the reported carrying capacity. Actual usable capacity depends on the specific trailer and its equipment. Check the unit’s rating plate and paperwork, and account for the weight of cargo and installed options rather than treating either published figure as a loading target.

How much can the UH18 carry, and will your vehicle fit?
The reported 4,500 lb payload is a total carrying-capacity figure, not a guarantee that a particular motorcycle, ATV or side-by-side will fit or can be hauled safely. The cargo bed is reported as 10.7 feet long and 5.9 feet wide, but dimensions alone do not establish fit: vehicle width, wheelbase, approach angle, ramp geometry and the position of the tie-downs matter.
- Measure the vehicle at its widest points, including mirrors or accessories where relevant, and compare its length and wheelbase with the deck and ramp.
- Confirm the trailer’s actual payload and GVWR from its rating plate and paperwork. Include gear and any installed options in the loaded-weight calculation.
- Check your tow vehicle’s trailer-weight rating and the applicable hitch, tongue-weight and axle limits. The October 2025 coverage does not establish specific towing requirements for a given tow vehicle.
- Use compatible L-track hooks and straps. RideApart notes that appropriate hooks and straps are needed; verify rail fit and working-load ratings for the cargo and securement plan rather than assuming any tie-down will work.

What is the sleeping area like?
New Atlas reported a 70-by-84-inch mattress that converts into a sofa. Those dimensions describe the sleeping surface; they do not establish a manufacturer-rated occupancy. Side entry doors provide access to the camper body. Buyers should consider whether the bed size, entry arrangement and storage suit the people and gear they plan to bring.
Does the UH18 have a kitchen?
It does not have a typical tailgate galley, according to the October 2025 feature. Instead, rear cabinets can store cooking gear, and a compartment is intended for an available electric fridge/freezer or a cooler. That makes the layout less like a self-contained outdoor kitchen and more dependent on the equipment and cooking setup the owner brings.

Electrical equipment and options
New Atlas described the reported basic electrical package as a leisure battery, a 200 W roof-mounted solar panel, USB ports, interior lighting and a four-speed roof fan. The same feature listed these as available options: an upgraded lithium battery, griddle, 5,000-BTU air conditioner, roof rack, rooftop tent, awning and fridge/freezer.
Some equipment shown in the feature’s pictured example was above base level. The report does not establish what is included on a particular trailer, so request a written equipment list for the unit being sold and distinguish included items from upgrades.

UH18 price and availability
New Atlas reported on October 19, 2025, that Modern Buggy had not provided a base price when asked. The article cited a US$24,995 RV Trader listing. That is a historical third-party listing reported in 2025—not a current MSRP, a verified sale price or evidence that the trailer remains available.
Ask the manufacturer or seller for a current written quote and confirm the model year, included equipment and delivery or other charges directly. Current manufacturer pricing and dealer availability are not established by the cited coverage.
What to verify before buying
Because price, equipment and specifications may vary by unit or change over time, use the published figures as a starting point for questions—not a substitute for the trailer’s own documentation.
- Photograph or inspect the rating plate and obtain paperwork confirming GVWR and payload.
- Get the exact dimensions and a loading plan for the powersports vehicle you intend to carry.
- Check towing compatibility against your vehicle’s ratings, including hitch and axle limits.
- Confirm which battery, solar, cooking, cooling, storage and other equipment is included in the quoted price.
- Verify that your chosen L-track hooks and straps fit the rail and are appropriately rated for your cargo and securement plan.
- Ask for the current price, availability and written specifications for the exact trailer being offered.
