Mobilight International’s Base Camp was presented in 2016 as a rugged steel cargo trailer that could be outfitted for overland camping—not as a self-contained camper with its own interior sleeping space. Its modular options included a slide-out kitchen, water and shower equipment, an electrical package and an optional rooftop tent. The figures below are from a June 2016 New Atlas feature; current availability, specifications and pricing have not been confirmed.
What the Base Camp was designed to do
The Base Camp started as a gear-hauling trailer and could be configured with the systems needed for a campsite. That distinction matters: the trailer’s advertised sleeping option was a rooftop tent, not a bed inside its cargo body. Buyers could choose how much kitchen, water, power and camping equipment to add, with each addition affecting both price and weight.

New Atlas reported a 16-gauge steel body mounted on a steel-tube frame, 15-inch wheels with leaf springs, and 12-gauge fenders designed to support a person standing on them. The publication gave overall dimensions of 163 × 77 × 72 inches (414 × 196 × 183 cm) and interior dimensions of 72 × 56 × 46 inches (183 × 142 × 117 cm). Those are historical published specifications, not independently tested figures or confirmed current ratings. New Atlas, June 1, 2016.

Kitchen and water
The optional roll-out kitchen was described with a removable Camp Chef Ranger II two-burner cooktop, a 15 × 15-inch stainless-steel sink and storage slides. A separate water option used a 30-gallon polyethylene tank, pump, spout and hose. The feature also listed a 6-gallon propane/electric water heater and an exterior shower as options.

Other options included electric water filtration, telescoping exterior lights and storage boxes. An open-ended off-road package could include changes such as a swivel hitch, upgraded suspension or wheels matched to the towing vehicle. Is the Mobilight Base Camp available now?
Current availability and specifications for Mobilight’s featured Base Camp remain unconfirmed. A similarly named trailer, the ADDAX Basecamp V3, is a separate product from another maker; its existence does not establish that it is a successor to or is affiliated with Mobilight. ADDAX Outdoors’ Basecamp V3 page describes that maker’s own trailer and equipment.
If evaluating a used Base Camp or comparing it with another trailer, verify the specific unit’s weight and ratings, dimensions, suspension and hitch, installed equipment, condition and documentation. For a current-market comparison, compare usable cargo volume, loaded weight, sleeping capacity, kitchen and water systems, electrical storage and charging, what is included, and delivered price—not the historical package totals alone.
