Where does the extension run?
The project added 5.6 kilometres of freeway north from Hester Avenue in Clarkson to Romeo Road in Alkimos. New access points were provided at Lukin Drive, Butler Boulevard and Romeo Road. The works connected with the Romeo Road and Wanneroo Road-to-Marmion Avenue link developed in collaboration with METRONET. June 2023 announcement
Why are two different project costs reported?
The Government of Western Australia’s June 2023 opening announcement described the extension as a $232 million project. Its current project overview lists a total budget of $249 million. The available pages do not explain the difference, so the figures should be attributed to their respective sources rather than treated as interchangeable.
