Two men in their 20s died after a Toyota Landcruiser tray-top and a Kenworth truck towing two trailers collided on Great Northern Highway in Miling, in Western Australia’s Shire of Moora, at about 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, 4 October 2025. The Toyota’s driver and passenger died at the scene; the truck driver was not injured.
What happened in the Miling crash?
WA Police said the collision involved a white Toyota Landcruiser tray-top and a white Kenworth truck towing two trailers. It happened at about 3:25 a.m. on 4 October 2025 on Great Northern Highway in Miling, in the Shire of Moora.
The Toyota’s male driver and male passenger, both in their 20s, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene. The 51-year-old male driver of the Kenworth was not injured. Police did not identify the deceased in the release. WA Police Force incident release; PerthNow’s report published the same day.
What is known about the cause?
The police release and contemporaneous PerthNow report do not state what caused the collision or provide a later investigative finding. They do not establish speed, fatigue, visibility, weather or road conditions as contributing factors. Any claim assigning fault or explaining the cause would go beyond the information these sources publish.

Did police ask for witnesses or footage?
WA Police Major Crash investigators asked anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle in the area beforehand, to come forward. Police also sought relevant dash-camera or mobile-phone footage.
