Its maker calls it “The bubble car reborn,” but the available official material does not establish that it is an Isetta remake, licensed successor or exact replica. What it does offer is a compact front-entry vehicle in several versions, including a 90 km/h Microlino, a slower Lite and an open-cabrio Spiaggina.
What is the Microlino?
Microlino is an electric microcar, not a conventional full-size passenger car. The manufacturer lists the standard Microlino in the European L7e vehicle category. Its front door opens at the nose, and the company says occupants can step out directly onto the sidewalk. That unusual layout and its rounded, retro silhouette give it a bubble-car character.
The name and styling invite comparison with the Isetta, but that is best treated as a visual and cultural association rather than a verified account of design lineage. Which Microlino versions are offered?
The Swiss-market configurator lists three distinct versions. Their speed, vehicle category, body style and stated maximum range differ, so “Microlino” does not describe one identical specification across the range. The Spiaggina is described as an open cabrio with a detachable canvas roof and roll bars. The Lite’s 200 km figure is the one shown by the Swiss configurator; it does not match the standard product page’s battery-and-range table, so check the precise configuration offered in your market. What are the standard Microlino’s specifications?
Microlino’s undated product page, accessed in 2026, lists the standard vehicle with 12.4 kW of power, 17.9 Nm of maximum torque and a 90 km/h maximum speed. The company claims 0–50 km/h acceleration in 5 seconds. Its listed dimensions are 2,519 mm long, 1,473 mm wide and 1,501 mm high. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results, and may vary by version or market.

The product page also says a full charge from an ordinary household socket takes four hours. That statement is not identical in scope to the battery-specific 0–80% charging times in the detailed table, so it should not be read as a universal charge-time figure. How does Microlino fit into city driving?
The manufacturer positions the vehicle for urban trips, emphasizing its compact dimensions, front entry door and ability to park transversely in some spaces. It also promotes charging from an ordinary household socket. Two seats and 230 liters of trunk space make the Microlino a deliberately small-capacity option. That can suit short journeys with one passenger or modest cargo, but the published figures alone do not establish how it will handle a particular commute, road or load.
