Red brake calipers and selected red exterior accents provide the contrast. The result is a deliberately low-contrast base colour with small, visible highlights instead of a separate mechanical package.
Snowstorm’s two-tone treatment
Snowstorm uses Pearl White for the main body and Starry Black for the roof. That roof contrast is the visual feature that separates it from Blackstorm in MG’s launch description. The same dark Storm Series grille, garnishes, logos, cladding, roof-rail treatment, headlamp bezels and smoked tail lamps remain part of the package.

MG says the Storm Series package includes Blackstorm or Snowstorm badges, a red tailgate accent, fog-lamp eye shadows, ORVM protectors with red accents and side step boards. Dealerships can fit this package at no extra cost, according to the announcement. Ask the retailer to identify each included piece on the quotation and vehicle handover sheet; a dealer’s description of a package can be less precise than the launch wording.
If you are searching online for “MG Hector Storm Series accessories,” treat listings as alternatives rather than proof of what the factory package contains. Confirm compatibility, finish and warranty implications before purchasing a third-party badge, protector or side step. A no-cost dealership fitment may be better value than paying separately for an item already included with the car.
Cabin and edition identity
Both editions use MG’s Nimbus Black interior theme. The announcement specifies all-black upholstery, dark cabin accents, edition-name embossing on the front headrests and a gunmetal-finished leather-wrapped steering wheel. Blackstorm and Snowstorm therefore share the same cabin colour direction; the embossing is the visible identifier that changes with the edition name.
MG does not announce a different seat material, dashboard trim, ambient-lighting treatment, seat count or interior technology for Snowstorm. If a showroom car appears to have a different trim texture or accessory, check whether it is a dealer-fitted item rather than an edition distinction.

Do not carry over details from the April 2024 Blackstorm launch. That historical release described multiple seating and powertrain combinations in an earlier edition context. It does not establish that a 2026 Storm Series car can be ordered with a diesel engine, six or seven seats, or another gearbox. Confirm the exact variant code on the purchase order if a salesperson discusses an older Blackstorm vehicle.
The equal output figures also mean colour should not be used as a proxy for performance. MG gives 143 PS and 250 Nm for the shared engine, but the announcement does not provide acceleration, fuel-economy or braking-test figures. Those results would require a separate road test of the actual vehicle.
Technology and convenience features listed by MG
MG lists the same technology package for the Storm Series editions. Its announcement names a 35.56 cm (14-inch) HD portrait infotainment display, Smart Boost and i-SWIPE gesture control. A digital Bluetooth key with key sharing allows compatible users to access the vehicle without relying on a conventional physical key, while predictive maintenance alerts and remote air-conditioning control are intended to support ownership between services.
The driver information display is a 17.78 cm digital cluster. MG also describes i-SMART connectivity with more than 70 connected features. “More than 70” is the manufacturer’s stated count; the release does not provide a feature-by-feature regional availability list, so ask which functions are active for your market, handset and subscription conditions.
Other listed convenience equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, air purifier with a PM 2.5 filter, rain-sensing wipers and front parking sensors. The announcement does not assign any of these items exclusively to Blackstorm or Snowstorm.
For a fair showroom comparison, operate the same functions in both cars rather than judging from a specification sheet alone. Pair a phone with the Bluetooth key, test remote air-conditioning response, open the powered tailgate, inspect the camera views and confirm that the infotainment menus expose the features advertised for your vehicle and region.
Safety and driver assistance
MG says both Storm Series editions receive a 360-degree HD camera with Wheel View. The release also lists anti-lock braking (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP), traction control, hill-hold control and brake assist. Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are included in the stated equipment list, but the announcement does not enumerate every ADAS function or operating condition.

Before signing, request the exact safety-equipment sheet for the vehicle identification number being delivered and ask the dealer to demonstrate camera views, sensor warnings and the ADAS settings in the infotainment system.

Do not assume that a feature name describes identical behaviour in every situation. Camera performance can depend on cleanliness, lighting and weather, while ADAS systems have operating limits. Read the owner documentation and keep responsibility with the driver even when assistance features are active.
Price, warranty and finance information
Announced price
MG announces an ex-showroom price of INR 19,99,800 for each 2026 Storm Series edition. Ex-showroom price excludes registration, road tax, insurance, handling or other location-specific charges, so it is not the amount you should use to budget the final purchase.
Because both editions carry the same announced ex-showroom figure, a difference in the final quotation is more likely to come from insurance choice, registration, accessories, discounts, stock age or dealer fees than from the colour itself. Compare itemised quotations issued for the same city and the same insurance coverage.
Advertised finance availability
MG says financing may cover up to 100% of the on-road price for terms of up to 84 months. This is an advertised availability statement, not a guaranteed approval. The lender will still assess eligibility, income, credit history, down-payment requirements, interest rate and documentation. Ask for the annual percentage rate, total repayment, processing fee and any foreclosure conditions rather than comparing only the monthly instalment.
MG SHIELD package
The announcement says the standard MG SHIELD package includes a three-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, three years of roadside assistance and three labour-free periodic services. Confirm the effective date, exclusions, consumables policy, service intervals and transfer conditions with MG before purchase; warranty and service terms can depend on the final contract and market.
What to verify at a dealership
The launch announcement cannot establish your local stock position or final on-road amount. Use this checklist when comparing an actual Blackstorm and Snowstorm offer:
- Confirm that the vehicle is a 2026 Storm Series five-seat model with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol CVT, rather than an older Blackstorm edition.
- Record the vehicle identification number, manufacturing month and exact exterior colour description. For Snowstorm, verify both the Pearl White body and Starry Black roof on the vehicle itself.

Since MG lists the same engine, transmission, cabin and equipment, the practical ownership questions are mostly colour and transaction questions. On Snowstorm, inspect the transition between the Pearl White body and Starry Black roof for an even finish. Which edition should you choose?
Choose Blackstorm if the visual priority is a single dark body
Blackstorm is the straightforward choice for a fully black exterior theme. It keeps the red accents and dark Storm Series trim visible without introducing a contrasting roof colour. Choose Snowstorm if you want a contrasting roof
