2023 pricing: why published figures differ
There is no single number here that represents every Metris’s sticker price. Mercedes-Benz’s 2023 configurator displays an MSRP of $43,600 alongside a displayed total build price of $43,476 for its configuration. The page presents both labels; the difference should not be read as a confirmed discount or explained as an error.
Other sources use different price labels and contexts. Car and Driver reports 2023 pricing from $41,495 to $45,495 depending on trim and options. Kelley Blue Book’s referenced 2023 Passenger Van page gives $45,495 as the original MSRP and $31,500 as a fair purchase price. KBB cautions that its fair purchase price varies significantly with mileage, condition, and location; it is an estimate for that listing context, not a market-wide average. The available figures do not establish an exact reconciliation among the sources.

- Check economy and dimensions for that van: Use its EPA label and exact trim details rather than assuming a published figure applies universally.
- Assess local ownership support: Since the Metris is a discontinued North American model, consider local service and parts availability as part of your ownership decision.
- Compare like with like: A high-mileage van with a different seat count or option package is not a clean price comparison to a lower-mileage, differently equipped example.
Towing and trailer-hitch fitment
Mercedes-Benz’s 2023 configurator lists an optional trailer hitch rated to 5,000 lb. That rating belongs to the manufacturer-listed accessory context; it does not establish that any particular aftermarket hitch fits or that every Metris is equipped or configured for towing. Photos are most useful when they show the cabin as well as the exterior. Ask for images of all seating rows, seatbelts, the rear opening, dashboard, and any options that matter to you.
