Ducati’s latest announced Panigale is the 2026 Panigale V4 R. Ducati claims a top speed of 197 mph for the US road-approved version, increasing to 205 mph with a racing exhaust configuration that Ducati describes as non-approved. Those are manufacturer claims, not independently verified test results.
How fast is the 2026 Panigale V4 R?
Ducati published different figures for different markets. Its US announcement says the road-approved V4 R can reach 197 mph, or 205 mph with the racing exhaust. Ducati’s international release gives the corresponding figures as 318.4 km/h (about 197.8 mph) and 330.6 km/h (about 205.4 mph). The racing-exhaust figures refer to a non-approved configuration, not the standard road-approved setup.

What makes the V4 R the fastest Panigale?
The 2026 V4 R is the latest Panigale announced by Ducati in the sources available for this model. It uses a 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine. Ducati describes the V4 R as a numbered series developed with WorldSBK in mind, positioning it as a race-focused, homologation-oriented road motorcycle.

That purpose does not make the production V4 R identical to Ducati’s WorldSBK race bike. Ducati lists the race bike at more than 235 bhp and more than 315 km/h; these are racing-machine figures, not the road model’s specifications. (Ducati WorldSBK specifications)
What the speed claims do—and do not—establish
The published figures answer what Ducati claims for the V4 R in specified markets and configurations. They do not establish an independently measured top speed or a verified ranking against every current Panigale variant. For a like-for-like comparison, the market version, exhaust setup, and whether the motorcycle is a road model or race bike all matter.

Ducati identifies the racing exhaust as non-approved. Its higher speed claim should therefore not be read as a road-legal specification or as advice to use that configuration on public roads.
