Other comparable trims went up in price, so the CX-50 lineup did not become uniformly cheaper. Equipment and packaging also changed between model years.
Which 2026 Mazda CX-50 trims got cheaper?
Mazda North American Operations’ detailed U.S. MSRP table lists the 2026 CX-50 2.5 S Select at $29,900, $600 below the 2025 2.5 S Select’s $30,500 starting MSRP. The 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus also fell by $600, to $42,900 from $43,500. The Hybrid Premium Plus dropped $100, to $40,150 from $40,250. These are arithmetic comparisons of manufacturer-published starting MSRPs, not promises of what buyers save at a dealership.
| Comparable trim | 2025 starting MSRP | 2026 starting MSRP | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| CX-50 2.5 S Select | $30,500 | $29,900 | −$600 |
| CX-50 2.5 S Preferred | $31,850 | $32,400 | +$550 |
| CX-50 Hybrid Preferred | $34,170 | $34,750 | +$580 |
| CX-50 Hybrid Premium | $37,700 | $38,150 | +$450 |
| CX-50 Hybrid Premium Plus | $40,250 | $40,150 | −$100 |
| CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus | $43,500 | $42,900 | −$600 |
2025 figures are from Mazda North American Operations’ July 9, 2024 pricing release; 2026 figures are from its September 16, 2025 release. Mazda changed the lineup and equipment, so similarly named trims are not necessarily identical vehicles. Mazda’s 2025 pricing release and 2026 pricing and packaging release provide the published figures.
Which trims cost more for 2026?
Three comparable trims in the table rose in starting MSRP: the 2.5 S Preferred by $550, the Hybrid Preferred by $580, and the Hybrid Premium by $450. Those increases are why the headline needs a qualification: Mazda cut prices on selected trims, not across the whole CX-50 range.
