Maserati unveiled the MCPURA at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex on 10 July 2025. The marque presents it as an evolution of the MC20 and offers it in two body styles: the MCPURA coupé and the open-top MCPURA Cielo.
What is the Maserati MCPURA?
The MCPURA is Maserati’s super sports car and, in the company’s words, an evolution of the MC20 halo car introduced in 2020. Maserati says the new model carries forward the MC20’s spirit while adding design, material and interior updates. That describes the manufacturer’s positioning; the announcement does not establish the scale of the changes as an independent technical assessment.
Maserati’s July 2025 press kit lists a 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 producing 630 CV and 720 Nm in its general engineering summary. These are manufacturer figures, not results from independent testing.

Maserati says the Cielo’s polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) glass roof can switch from opaque to transparent in one second. The two launch cars shared the Ai Aqua Rainbow colour, but the coupé wore a matte finish while the Cielo was shown in gloss. Maserati identifies Ai Aqua Rainbow as part of its Fuoriserie customization programme.

When and where was the MCPURA unveiled?
Maserati announced the model’s world premiere on 10 July 2025 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex. The launch took place in the South Downs National Park. The event reveal establishes the car’s debut, not an independent performance test.
What does Maserati say about the car’s development?
In its 10 July 2025 announcement, Maserati called the MCPURA “An evolution of the MC20 Halo Car – which in 2020 launched a new era for the brand – the new MCPURA takes up its spirit and amplifies it to its most intense and refined form.” This is the company’s description of the model’s lineage and intent, rather than an independent review of its engineering or driving characteristics.

Maserati says the MCPURA is produced at its historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena. The cited launch information does not establish current pricing, dealer availability, independent road-test results or comparative handling differences between the coupé and Cielo.
