Two people were seriously injured after a silver vehicle allegedly struck them following a minor crash near Mandurah Road and Park Road in Greenfields, Western Australia, on the night of 26 September 2024. WA Police appealed for witnesses and camera footage. Local reports later said a man had been charged, but the sources cited here do not establish the final court outcome.
What happened in the Mandurah incident?
At about 10:25 p.m. on Thursday, 26 September 2024, a white Mitsubishi Triton tray-top and a small silver vehicle were involved in a minor crash near Mandurah Road and Park Road in Greenfields. The vehicles then travelled through several streets, including Mandurah Terrace, Henson Street and Anstruther Road, before the Triton pulled over on Crawford Street in Mandurah.
According to the WA Police appeal, two people got out of the Triton and walked towards the silver vehicle. The appeal said: “Two occupants of the Triton exited the vehicle and walked towards the silver vehicle. The silver vehicle did not stop, hitting both people.” The silver vehicle then allegedly left without stopping. The appeal does not name an individual police spokesperson.
Where did the vehicles travel?
The reported route began near the Mandurah Road and Park Road intersection in Greenfields, continued through Mandurah Terrace, Henson Street and Anstruther Road, and ended with the Triton stopped on Crawford Street in Mandurah. WA Police also asked for information about sightings of either vehicle in Mandurah or Meadow Springs between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. that night.

How badly were the two people hurt?
WA Police said the 38-year-old man and 36-year-old woman who were struck sustained serious injuries. PerthNow reported that they were first taken to a local hospital and then transferred to Royal Perth Hospital. Further injury details and personal accounts were reported in the outlet’s interview with the couple; those details are interview reporting, not findings stated in the police appeal.
Was anyone charged?
On 1 October 2024, 97.3 Coast FM reported that a 29-year-old Greenfields man had been charged with two counts of intent to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and driving without authority, and was due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court that day. 7NEWS likewise described him as accused and reported that a court appearance was scheduled. Charges are allegations, not proof of guilt. The cited reports establish the charges and expected appearance, but do not establish a later plea, trial result or sentence.

Did police ask for dash-camera footage?
Yes. WA Police asked witnesses to provide relevant CCTV, mobile-phone or dash-camera footage, including recordings that might show either vehicle in Mandurah or Meadow Springs between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on 26 September 2024.
People with information were asked to contact Crime Stoppers WA on 1800 333 000 or submit a report through Crime Stoppers WA. Anyone with relevant footage should preserve the original recording and provide it to police; a dash camera is not a guarantee of evidence or safety.
