La noticia generó críticas de quienes esperaban un vehículo más lujoso, aunque el modelo no está identificado de forma uniforme: distintos medios lo describieron como un Toyota, un Camry 2025 o, con cautela, un Camry HEV blanco.
¿Qué auto recibió Ryan Muñiz?
El vendedor Arian Ramírez compartió imágenes del momento junto a Marc Anthony, Ryan y un automóvil blanco con un moño rojo, según People en Español. Las publicaciones no coinciden por completo al identificar el vehículo:
- People en Español lo describió como un Toyota, sin especificar modelo.
- RPP Noticias lo identificó como un Toyota Camry 2025 en su nota del 19 de febrero de 2025: RPP Noticias.
- ¡HOLA! USA indicó el 18 de febrero que aparentemente era un Toyota Camry HEV blanco: ¡HOLA! USA.
Por eso, Camry 2025 es la identificación de RPP, mientras que la versión HEV aparece como una posibilidad en ¡HOLA!, no como una especificación confirmada de forma independiente.
¿Por qué hubo críticas?
Los comentarios negativos reportados cuestionaban que Marc Anthony no eligiera un automóvil de lujo. RPP recogió la pregunta «¿por qué Marc le compra un Toyota en vez de un Mercedes?», mientras que People en Español resumió que algunos usuarios esperaban un modelo más lujoso. Esas notas no permiten medir cuántas personas compartían esa opinión ni tomarla como representativa del público.

La respuesta de Enrique Santos y la reacción atribuida a Dayanara
El locutor Enrique Santos defendió la elección y afirmó que Ryan quería ese automóvil. RPP reprodujo su comentario: «Es el carro de ensueño de Ryan, siempre ha querido ese carro en particular. Es el carro que Ryan quería, no critiquen más al flaco». Santos también cuestionó que se midiera el cariño de un padre por el precio del regalo: «¿Desde cuándo el amor de un padre se mide por el precio del carro que regala?»

En un seguimiento publicado el 28 de febrero de 2025, ¡HOLA! atribuyó a la presentadora Giselle Blondet el relato de que Dayanara Torres reaccionó favorablemente y de que Ryan llegó emocionado y agradecido. Se trata de declaraciones transmitidas por Blondet, no de una observación independiente del medio: ¡HOLA! USA.

- 19 de febrero de 2025: People en Español informó que era un Toyota y reportó las críticas en redes; ese mismo día RPP lo identificó como un Camry 2025 y publicó la defensa de Santos.
- 28 de febrero de 2025: ¡HOLA! publicó el relato atribuido a Giselle Blondet sobre la reacción de Dayanara y Ryan.
